Delete Option
In serebii forums theres a thread option that lets the creator of the thread delete the thread! And I wonder why this forum doesn't have that kind of option! I think this forums need that kind of thing!

Re: Delete Option
There really isn't a reason to have this option. The only reason a thread should be deleted is if it's pointless, and you shouldn't be making pointless threads. The pointless threads that are made are normally deleted by a moderator.

Nope, there's no way in hell that Ryan would even try something that dumb. Serebii is full of a bunch a people, way more people then here. I think they just have it to keep some of the SPAM out, or if the user made a theard in the wrong place. But, that is why we have 2-3 mods in every board .

I would support this idea.

Actually, if your computer goes really slow, so you click the button "Submit New Thread" 2 or more times and you have to deleted all but one. Happened to me once, luckily a faithful g mod deleted them all but one.

Honestly, situations like those are rare, and a mod can spot a duplicate thread pretty quickly. Besides, implementing a feature like this for odd situations is a waste, imo, i'm with Azumao on this

Re: Delete Option
It's not really needed. Last time I checked, serebii has, what, 100,000 members, and we have about 20,000, and only sevral handfuls are active, excluding the mods. The n00b invasion had a mojor impact on the best members, and now the n00bs have left, and the vets haven't come back.

not to be offensive or anything, but this happens alot of the d/p trades with all the extra threads. and mods practicly never lock the constanly-created threads. no offense to the d/p trade mods.

Re: Delete Option
No, I've seen plenty of trade threads, and the same thing with battle threads. The thing is that the board is so populated by members and hackers and n00bs galore, that the challenge, trade, etc. is finished before the mod can get to it, making it pointless to lock it, as it will quickly fade away.

Re: Delete Option
You would have to do alot more than click one button to delete the thread.
