Default Lowering number of trainers for a FFA

The reason I bring up this topic is because, the minimum of 6 is much too high IMO. For seasoned vet refs like Mikey or ST or ball, it's alright, but for us younger, less experienced refs, I believe that the number should be lowered from 6 to probably 4. I know alot of people will disagree with me, but I believe that's how it should go.

Any opinions?

I belive I'm a good ref since I've been reffing for awhile and I don't think the number should be lowered. FFAs are meant to reffed by the experenced refs and not necessary you younger refs, *CoughMayNormancough*.

Probably not going to happen, because you can ref team battles (2 people v 2 people), yanno.

Younger refs shouldn't really be doing FFA's in my opinion.

I was thnking, maybe we could have a test for refs to be certified to ref FFA's. It would prevent those not yet ready from reffing them, and eliminating the need of permission. Unless, theres another reason besides being expirienced enough in the officials eyes.

From what I've seen, everyone who has reffed an FFA recently is doing quite well. Husnain, Yami...Well that's all that comes to mind currently. Nobody is trying to do something too difficult for them.

This isn't an issue.

;p FFAs are limited to experienced refs. The rules, last I checked, however... Said that anyone could ref double battles or other 'special' things when they wanted.

So by all means, ref a 4 person FFA, just don't call it one. ;) Call it an Unteamed Double Battle. Or a foursome, for all I care. =p I just don't believe you'll honestly get in trouble for creating a new type of battle, though of course, I can't say as I'm not officially a URPG mod.

Another thing I'm getting at is eliminating the need to get official permission. If refs could be certified, an official wouldn't have to be on every time a ref wants to ref an FFA.

Ps: Foursome=orgy FFK, XD

Your inability to recognize SUBTLE jokes is astounding. ;)

And yeah... official permission kinda stinks. =X

Took the words right out of my...fingers. Only experienced refs who are completly confident in what they're doing should be reffing FFA's, especially big ones.

a 4 man FFA would be rubbish anyway. Thats 1.5k for 1st place and 2k for the ref... you can get 2k from winning a gym battle and 2k for reffing a 4v4 so its kind of pointless. :l Oh and.... Permission thing SUCKS. :l

I don't see why we should lower the number of trainers in a FFA. You see, as everybody as already said(which makes me wonder why the heck I'm typing that) only experienced Refs should do FFAs. I may qualify, but honestly I don't see why should I try, as I'm not that confident. And if you don't feel confident in dealing with 6 people, at least, then you're not experienced enough. That's all.

CA, if you can't ref six it clearly means you're not ready yet to ref FFA's.
