What if, instead of going by the game in contests, you go by the show. you can send out several attacks, to make something like a display. But you have to describe it like this:

Bad dsiplay: zero stars

Poor display:one star

Medium Display: three stars

Good stars: five stars

Perfect display: ten stars

How the hell would you know how it looks like. In certain cases, not only imagination is needed, this idea needs real visual help (which is impossible) and is too comples (yeah...) and requires only more wasted work. Just add in DP, and it be okay. :P

Anime style battles are not very popular. So I doubt this would be.

No, it wouldn't work too well. It would just infuse stories into battles, which nobody wants.
