Cool Re: Which starter should I get?

I'd say Mudkip. It was my first Pokemon, and so many people reccomended it to me. It's easy to raise, and it can learn Mud Shot, which is VERY affective on almost any Pokemon. Also it can learn Water moves, and there aren't really many good Water Pokemon in Hoenn.... Torchic is pretty good, but considering that you don't need a Fire Pokemon to complete the game, it's not really that good.... Treeko is just okay, but it can't learn many good moves and it's nearly powerless.
What I mean by not needing a Fire Pokemon to complete the game is that you need a Water Pokemon to Surf if you want to get to the Elite Four, and other gyms and such. Also it can learn Ground/Rock moves.

Humm, a hard choice between Mudkip and Torchic. Mudkip gets a great type combo, leaving it open to only grass really. It also learns great moves and using my personal experiance, was a great Pokémon.

Torchic, well it's a fire type, and it's evos are strong. Good strong fires are hard to find, plus fighting is a handy type to have around. It also gets good moves

Humm, I'd say Mudkip, at the end of the day.

It depends on what kind of challenge you want in your gameplay experience. If you want a very rough start, and then interesting later on, try Torchic. If you want to breeze through the game, try Mudkip. If you want want a weird game/not really interesting/not really boring game, try Treeko. But personally, I'd try Torchic or Mudkip, cuz I h3rd u l3ik mudk1pz.

Lightbulb Re: Which starter should I get?

-Mudkip is good and so is Torchic

-Pick either one of those

-But I would never pick Treecko
It is has only one type all it's like GRASS

-Torchic is Fire and learns a tpye 2 that is Fighting later on

-Mudkip is awsome he's my pick he's water but he becomes ground later on so eletric rocks against water but can't affect ground types so against eletric ur safe!

-Treecko is ?????

Mudkip:Advantages, easiest way to beat the game, powerful attacks, grass is about its only pontentially bad matchup. Disadvantages, too easy to beat the game, I got bored with him.
Torchic:Advantages, fire is a hard type to fill in early in the game, powerful attacks useful for E4, part fighting gives variety. Disadvantages, bad against some gyms, team aqua gives hard time, has a lot of weaknesses.
Treeco:Advantages, versatile, fast, good challenge to start with him. Disadvantages: too many weaknesses, not many powerful attacks until late lvls, not many good type matchups, hard to play for a new player(not saying that you are).

My personal choice is Torchic.
Have fun!
