I must admit that Tha Carter III was a disappointment, with only really one track that I REALLY like (Mr. Carter), but Tha Carter and Tha Carter II were really good. I find that his verses were a lot better before he dropped Tha Carter III as well. In my opinion, Wayne can be a monster on someone elses song, but his own can be kind of lack luster. Therefor, he is placed where he should stay.
I have Tha Carter, II and III, and a random mix tape downloaded, to check them out and because my brothre wanted them, didn't like them, at all, hated III, I and II weren't much better either, mixtape (I think it was Da Drought 2) was better than all three, though not by much. The only songs I actually really, really enjoyed by Lil Wayne was My Life and Let It Rock, and both where guest appearences I think, not one hundred percent sure. I think the main reason why I hate him is because of his voice really... it's just annoying and really kills nearly all of his songs. s:

I stand by the Lil Wayne on the Ignore List, but I can kinda understand if he stays where he is. Still doesn't mean I like him though. ¬.¬

EDIT: Oh, I like Love Me or Hate Me as well, mainly because BLKOUT use it as their theme.

N*E*R*D* is really damn good in my opinion. Good job on putting NWA in there as well. Nice list, but about the entire Hip-hop thing, most people think the sex drugs and ******* thing is with rap. I think Hip-Hop has a way better, more respectable style to it.

Yeah anything Wayne does now is awful. Just listen to "I Feel Like Dying" and then listen to some real hip hop and you'll know what I mean.

Why is Lil' Wayne a popular person to hate? I mean sure, some of his songs do suck, and I mean are really, really bad. Even a person who is a fan of a few of his songs (Got Money is one of my favorite songs, can't explain why, it just is) says that. For example, Every Girl or something like that is just an awful, awful song (I know it because my sister has a ton of Lil' Wayne on ITunes). There are plenty of other people who suck worse than him I'm sure. Drakes songs are bad/going to be bad I think but the people who hate him are never going to hate him as much as people who hate Lil' Wayne hate him. As for the list, it's good. Excellent actually.

You'll understand once you yourself have to deal with the severe thick-headedness of huge Wayne fanatics that constantly claim him to be the best rapper alive.

Also, excellent freestylers to check out on Youtube: Illmaculate and Thesaurus. Crazy guys.

I'm surprised I didn't see Hieroglyphics Crew listed at all. They should be on the who you should listen to list. :3

Wayne is garbage now. He used to be good but now I rarely see any new good songs coming from him.
And yeah it gets annoying when everyone calls him best rapper alive, cause he definitely isnt imo.

I really don't know what to say I mostly love rap and hip- hop but i don't think lil wayne is a bad rapper i love his music and a lot of other stuff but i don't think people should hate him when they don't even know him all you have to judge him by is his music and if you are really that low then you really know nothing.

I just got a few tracks off of Raekwon's new album. I don't really like RZA ever since he became Bobby Digital but I've heard that Only Built for Cuban Linx II is really good. Still waiting for Detox...

The best rap I've really heard, personally, has come from either The Roots or the Wu Tang Clan.

Other than that, I'm really not a fan of the genre. I mean, if Flight of the Conchords or another band that varies up its genres does a rap song, I'll probably love it, but usually I don't like anything by artists who only make rap songs.
