Pokemon Sounds While Walking Around - Pokemon Forum

Has anybody noticed that sometimes when you're just walking out in the open in Ruby that you can hear the cries of pokemon? Like Zubat, in Meteor Falls I heard it, and Clamperl underwater, it's weird I thought I was hearing things at first

what does it mean exactly? Ive only just started playing Ruby so I'm quite new to it, & i've never played a version of that generation or later

oh, yeah ive heard these.

i think theyre just so you know what pokemon are on the route, and for ambience.

of course we have serebii for that :P

I've heard onix cries in Victory Road while playing FireRed.

Yes, on Emerald too. They said that it is a Pokemon ability, is that right?

*Checks Bulbapedia* Nope, if it had something to do with ability, then all pokemon previously mentioned in the thread could share an ability. When looking up Zubat's only ability, Inner Focus, I found that none of the previously mentioned pokemon share the ability Inner Focus with Zubat.
