Re: Masters of Cinema
I desperately want to see Alice in Wonderland, as I adore Stephen Fry.
<3
It also has Matt Lucas, which will be... interesting... and Alan Rickman is one of my favourite actors. Also, I haven't seen any of Anne Hathaway's films lately, and Helena should be good. I loved her as Bellatrix Lestrange in HP.
I've too nervous about Johnny pulling off a fail to be excited about him. I hope he doesn't try for another EnglishJackSparrowSlightlyCockneyAmerican accent like he did for Sweeney Todd.

Lord of the Rings isn't that great.
Personally I think one of the movies on the list should be Daybreakers. I saw an extended trailer when I went to see Avatar. It looks amazing and is out in two days.

No... Newer movies. The 3rd post said enough. So right now there isnt a majority vote.
Although I guess the list is going to be this:
Avatar
Alice in Wonderland
Daybreakers
I based this off of movies that we were talking about, before.

Because It in turn implies your mental capability to take in certain information. In a sense if you were like 14 or so I could find it necessary to talk about R-Rated films and the like. Because I know that even at 14, we tend to still watch R-Rated Films regardless of what we're told. xD

You're accepted. I've also yet to see the Wrestler. I've wanted to check it out, though, so I may go get the DVD.

You're not.
I didn't like it either, for the blatent and predictable sci-fi movie plot. However, I relent the graphics are done ridiculously well. If less money had been spent on the CGI, it's something I'd expect to see on the late-night Sci-Fi channel. :/
Anywho, I went to go see a movie on Sunday - only to realize there was nothing out that was worth seeing. Instead, I went bowling. ...Yet, I WILL be going to see Daybreakers over the weekend. :D

Well Ironman 2 doesn't come out until May 7th. But I would still consider it. XD

Hello my fellow Moviegoers. I decided to watch the People's Choice Awards tonight, and I would like to share the televised results for the Movies Category in this thread. I will only post results, and my thoughts on the results. I will possibly list Nominees, but not for many as the announcer lady messed up on the Hugh Laurey segment for Favorite TV Drama Actor. She announced it as Favorite TV Drama: House. So he went home with two awards at the same time. ANYWAYS, I will also be posting the Trailers for movies yet to come, I will not be posting Nominees with the results, you can check them out at www.PeoplesChoice.com along with other Online awards given, ALL chosen by we the people.
First up! Favorite Comedy Movie: The Proposal. Starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Renolds.
Second is the Trailer for the new movie: Robin Hood, starring Russel Crowe.
Then comes another Trailer (as everything inbetween these two had NOTHING to do with Movies Mostly TV Comedy and TV Drama (Yay House!)) CLASH OF THE TITANS! With several great stars in it including Sam Worthington.
Favorite Movie Actress is next, given to Sandra Bullock, her second award of the evening.
Favorite Action Star is Hugh Jackman! Being Wolverine really payed off for him.
Favorite Independant Movie goes to those Inglorious Basterds. Which Brad Pitt was not there to recieve, but everyone else was.
Favorite Breakthrough Actor, the young gun who's basically destined to act, Taylor Lautner. Yay for the Twilight Saga.
Now things get Depp.. er, deep. Talk about people who aren't around a lot. Johnny Depp was there to accept two huge awards, those being Favorite Male Actor, and Actor of the Decade.
Johnny Depp is an amazing actor, I'm sure everyone on this thread can agree to that. Sure he may have done some rather eccentric roles lately, the latest being the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland. But noting his roles as Willy Wonka, and Edward Scissorhands. He may not have done things according to the books but he certainly makes things unique and original. I believe he deserved his awards for Actor of the Decade and Favorite Male Actor.
I've seen Inglorious Basterds 3 times. Each time I loved it. The actors were both serious and hellarious. Very great movie, and very much deserved in their award. Break through actor, Taylor Lautner, New Moon. I'm not a fan of the Twilight Saga. So I don't see the greatness. But I guess a lot of people do, so good on him and his reward. My personal vote was on Captain Kirk in the new Star Trek Movie.
Favorite Action Star. Jeez. Hugh Jackman, Shia LeBeouf, Christian Bale, Gerard Butler, and Vin Diesel. That was a rough shot for Hugh Jackman. Good on Wolverine to beat that superstar list of nominees.
Sandra Bullock, Favorite Movie Actress, I honestly thought Kristen Stewart was gonna win because Twilight seems to eat everything, lately. But I was happy for Sandra Bullock, and now more than ever I want to see The Blind Side.
And of course, Favorite Comedy Movie, because you can't win an Emmy (I believe) in Comedy. The Proposal. Funny, Cute, Random, and a sassy Sandra Bullock? Great movie, totally deserving of the People's Choice Award.
Well talk amongst yourselves. I'm going to bed. XD
