Oh, well then that is good to hear :] It just seemed like a good idea.

Re: URPG Related Chat, Questions and Suggestions
@Haze: fine by me, it's just that whenever it dies I always see the same complaints "yeah, it's nice but it never lasts," "people forget about it quickly" and what not. That's why I said what I said.
I was mistaken, it seems.

Also, I've noticed that people repost questions here because they can't be bothered to scroll through a few pages. May I suggest that we make a thread where a single post can be editted with the answers to questions such as mine?

A FAQ, you mean? Problem is, people still wouldn't be likely to read it. Though it may help to some degree.

Re: URPG Related Chat, Questions and Suggestions
The other day, I had a [not] brilliant idea and wanted feedback.
Recently, I've been very disappointed with my grades and results in Creative Writing, averaging a C on all my papers. Not to mention my severe Writer's Block.
So I thought to myself: "Hey! Why not try to improve my skills by coming back to URPG and writing stories?"
Even though I've been URPG inactive for well over a year, maybe it would be a good idea to write stories solely for the sake of improving my writing skills?
I dunno. Does this sound like a good idea for me to try or am I blowing crap out my butt.

The first post of the reffing FAQ is supposed to be constantly updated with the answers to questions. I said supposed because it hasn't been updated in ages.

All's you gotta do is mention this in the same thread(s) as your story(ies). Ask for a more detailed grade than than usual, and that way, whoever grades your story will know that you actually WANT advice 'n suggestions 'n junk, unlike some other folks, who have to have it crammed down their throats. Knowing that makes quite a bit of difference on the grader's end, I've found.
Or, you could just ask a grader about it directly, and then let him or her claim your story ahead of time. And of course, you'd wanna find a grader that you think can really help you out.
But yeah. Helping folks improve their writing skills is the biggest goal of the URPG Stories. So no, it's not crap. And anyone who says otherwise should come have a long, long chat with me. ^^

I remember DU added quite a lot of answered questions to the first post a while back, but someone removed it later on. I have no idea why though, in fact it was quite convenient searching the first post rather than searching the whole thread.

Re: URPG Related Chat, Questions and Suggestions
Why do 99% of my questions have to deal with evolution? .__. xD
This one seems obvious but I can't help but ask anyways. When a Pokemon reaches its 7 or 10 battles or whatever do we HAVE to evolve it? Or can we just leave it in its basic form and then just evolve it whenever we feel like it?

Hehe, 'cause evolution is wacky to begin with. xD
No, you don't have to evolve a Pokemon if you don't want to, although you can't de-evolve a Pokemon once it has evolved.

Re: URPG Related Chat, Questions and Suggestions
I think RocketMeowth kept her Meowth as a Meowth forever and always used it in her gym battles.
Did pretty well with it, too, iirc.

URPG uses TMs from all generations, so if the Pokemon learned Counter from TM in RBY, then you could use it as a TM in URPG. Otherwise, it may get it by BM or something, so the daycare could provide it for you.

Your Pokemon has all the moves it can learn via Level up in all generations, including the Level up moves of its pre-evolved forms when it evolves.
For TMs and HMs, you have to buy them in the Pokemart.
For Breeding Moves, Move Tutors, and Special Event Moves, you have to buy them in the Daycare.
Basically, you are not limited to just 4 moves. Hope that helps.
