Music is certainly a big part of everyone's life today, with these 160 gb storage devices for listening to music anywhere and-what-not. Everyone is obssessed with their metal, and rock, and pop, country, and classical. But a highly underappreciated music genre, that's getting better as the calendar moves on, is video game music. Soundtracks to the games we know, love, and play everyday provide the added emotion to the scenes, but no one ever pays any attention to them. Take Super Smash Bros Brawl, for example. 60 of the best artists from Nintendo got together to remake classic songs and compile them all into one big 300 song soundtrack, and they obviously wanted the songs to be know, as they added the "my music" option. Sure, people acknowledged it, but after the first listen, the songs -yet again- went unnoticed. Well, i'm here to bring notice to these songs. This club is for Video Game Soundtrack sharing, appreciation, and reviewing (and the usual amount of spam/way off topic chat that's bound to happen)

No, I actually meant just the video game itself. I just wanted to add things to the sign up form beside "username" XD It really doesnt matter though

OK, first review.

Title: Super Mario RPG
Artist: unknown, Squaresoft?
Platform: Nintendo

Ratings:
Fitting-in:9/10
Square did a good job composing the music here. It really reflects the cheery and colorful mood of the game.
Originality: 8/10
Square took a risk and composed it's own music instead of borrowing from Nintendo. As a result, the music is distinctly different from any Mario game, or any game for that matter.

Diversity: 7/10
While catchy, in this category Super Mario RPg is a bit lacking. While the music scores are varied, they borrow from the same set of notes, taking away from the diversity.
Nostalgia Value: 10/10
Super Mario RPG is a classic. And as such, the songs, particularly the Forest Maze theme, have become well known. It's hard to forget classics.
Overall:9/10.
