Trading for items?
I'd like to know why you can't trade mons for items/tms/money.
I don't see anything wrong with it, or how it could be abused.
I'd like to suggest that we should be able to trade items, for mons. I'm sure lot's of people would like making these types of trades :D

most items can be bought from the mart so it would be kind of useless.

Re: Trading for items?
Just putting this out there, but I always thought it was becuase this (and even the TV show) is based off of the game, and in the game you can't trade Pokemon for items, and that's why we don't do it here, but that's just what I thought, it probably has some other factors involved in it, but whatever.

Re: Trading for items?
I'd kinda like it simply because I have TOO many pokemon and no way to get rid of them... then again, thats just a selfish thought. It would probably create some kind of controversy...

Re: Trading for items?
I think a way to sell Pokemon would be good, but only, like, back to the mart, and for a reduced price. Just not selling them to other people, because that could be abused with unfair trades, either as a means of tricking the person, or buying a mon for $500 from someone that's leaving.
And tbh - who'd want to sell a mon for an item? Iirc, every single item is available in the mart (except Heart Scales) and not for unreasonable prices, especially since most (if not every) mons are sold for more than items.

Magikarp that took 5 minutes to write for in exchange for TM Sub and/or Protect sounds dandy to me.

But then again even the most unexpeiranced trainers can write for a Magikarp becuase it's in the easiest catagory, and stories should take longer than 5 minutes to write, even for a Magikarp. Plus people would(or might) start taking advantage of this by writing for a bunch or Karp and using all the new trainers to buy them TM's and such.

Methinks Starki was being Sarki (hahahageddit?)
But yeah, pretty much just more reason why it shouldn't be allowed. :3
