Re: Moves for charizard
Too many fire type moves. The same type movesets are stupid ideas cause you're screwed if you end up against your weakness. No, the best way is to balance and be prepared in case you end up say Feraligator which can own a Charizard easily. Blast Burn, and overheat are bad ideas as well. 1) yes blast burn is powerful, but it doesn't have enough PP points to get you though enough battles without wasting all your money on items to keep your pokemon able to use it. Plus you can't attack afterwards, a waste of a move after the fact. 2) Overheat is strong too, but gets weaker the more you use it, plus it lowers sp. attack.
You need a balanced moveset.
A better example is-
Fly works too, as well as Dig.
Rock Slide is good as well. It really depends on the rest of your team and what they're moves and types are. You're pokemon must be effective as a team and standalone. If it makes sense though moreso as a team.
Hyperbeam is useless too. Yes it's strong, but against a slew of trainers you're screwed.
