I'm getting Black because most of my friends are getting White.

By now, though, I honestly could care less about version differences. It's gotten too old.

The part I don't get is, what makes one so sure that /both/ Reshiram and Zekrom aren't in the game?
Didn't Platinum have both Dialga and Palkia?

Just like Emerald had both Groudon and Kyogre.

I'm thinking the third game will have both to follow the pattern, just not the first pair.

I am going for Black. Having a Fire Legendary is rare and I like the idea. So I got really lucky that the Fire Legendary was going to be the cover pokemon for Black. Also Black City sounds cool to explore.

Most likely both. I always buy both rival games nowadays, ever since Diamond and Pearl. I did it with HeartGold and SoulSilver, too. Oh, and Explorers of Time and Darkness/

I'm waiting to see how distinct the differences between versions are. However if they're not too different, I'll probably pick depending on which dragon is better from a competitive standpoint. At the moment black is the obvious choice since all we know about them so far is typing, and Reshiram has an unresisted STAB combination (Outside of Heatran).

Did you ignore the bit where I said I'm gonna pick based on which of the version-exclusive elements of the games is better? Did you not gather from that that the game itself is my top priority? If you're going to go out of your way to insult somebody's reasoning, at least make sure you're point makes sense in the first place. If you don't like competitive battling, fine. But in a thread where people are asked to voice their opinion, don't whine like a baby and start spewing insults when they voice an opinion that is in opposition to your own.
