Remember the days when you use to battle with your friends with the various Pokemon you've obtained through your journey to become the Pokemon League Champion?! (In your own respective game of course!) Well, here is your chance to relive those days!

Anybody and everybody who owns a Pokemon game is encouraged to join! It's not about being competitive! It's meant to have fun and spend time with those Pokemon who took us through that tough journey to become Champion!

Please carefully define "No IV Bred or EV Trained Pokemon".

We don't want people to use Pokemon who have been specifically IV Bred and EV trained in their beneficial stats or certain stats. Essentially, we want People to use the Pokemon they've captured and used through out the game. Before they start to focus on these in game mechanics.

HG: I only went through the game with one Pokemon, and I've since released him. Does that make me illegible?

Diamond: I only went through the game with one Pokemon, and he was EV trained. I also reset for a favorable nature. Do I need to reset his EVs? And if so, am I allowed to refill them in some way? Otherwise, it'll be at a natural disadvantage to Pokemon that have EVs accumulated, but were not specifically trained for it.

@PF - I would say you could go and catch/train 6 Pokemon randomly by battling trainers/wild Pokemon as long as you don't intentionally (and specifically) EV train them. Of course it relies on a bit of honestly, but this is just for fun so I'd hope people would play by the rules.

The audience at which the tournament is aimed is not really those who would normally EV train all their Pokemon or battle 'competitively' anyway, so most people would have an in-game team they could use. Of course, 'competitive battlers' are welcome to join as long as they follow the rules.

:o Easily answered questions! You see, they still own a game in which they went through by normal means! Meaning they were given a starter Pokemon from the given Professor and then went to obtain more Pokemon to complete their journey.

While it is possible to stop mid way through a game and obtain Pokemon from trades to start IV Breeding and EV Training. It's not very likely. So we'd rather people use the original game card they started their journey on before they went into the game mechanics.

If those were to you in specific. It's possible to SR to get a beneficial Nature, but still rather difficult to EV Train in the given situation at the start of the game. Considering you'd have to battle your Rival various times. Not to mention random Trainers. So you'd really HAVE to obtain other Pokemon as to not taint the Pokemon you're trying to Train. So in other words. You'd still be eligible, due to the fact you still have other Pokemon you can rely on!

Besides, you're missing the whole aspect that it's for fun! xD So if by chance you seem to have one really good Pokemon! You still have regular run of the mill Pokemon. =9 So it seems to even out either way.

For clarity's sake though: My Diamond's Infernape was my only Pokemon. I reset his EVs pretty early using berries and maxed them out using items from my Pearl game. His IVs are above average, but that was luck.

But I'll do what Sarah said - catch six new ones and randomly battle!
