Pre-Release Poll #1: Starter

Pokemon Black and White will be released in less than a week. You are about to embark on a new journey to the Unova Region, where new Pokemon and new adventures await. And as usual, you will need to pick your first Pokemon to begin this journey.

So, who will it be?

Snivy- the Grass Snake Pokemon



Tepig- the Fire Pig Pokemon



Oshawatt- the Sea Otter Pokemon

I know snivey will probably be the most popular but I'm going with tepig...reminds me of pumba off the lion king.

Oshawott seems like the best starter to breeze through the game, since he can learn very good moves quite early. Snivy would be great if the game I am playing is long-term, though.

Going for Tepig for multiple reasons:
1) I traditionally pick the Fire-type starters (save for DPP, where I chose Piplup)
2) Me, my sister, and our friend always make a complete trio (we each pick a different starter)
3) It is my favorite aesthetically aside from Snivy, but I get the feeling there are going to be A LOT of Snivy's out there.

i'd vote for all 3, I already have Snivy on my J@p white,
so on my US Black Ill get Oshawott and Tepig on US White, & i've breed Snivy to send into the other two games..

I said Oshawatt, but I honestly don't see myself using him much in the game. I also may pick tepid and use him till I can get a Darmitanian.

In reality, the starters are some of my least favorite pokemon of this Gen, but I do love probably 95% of them.

In my mind no starter set will beat the Johto series set, those guys were awesome.

For Black, I'm choosing Oshawott, while in White, Snivy.

Though, gameplay wise, the chain is kind of useless without the Dream World ability.

Snivy is awesome, pure and simple. His evolutions look wonderful and I've always been a big fan of Grass types.
