Arbok rose tall, hissing angrily at the Honchkrow who had dared to invade her territory. One could argue that her course of action was counterproductive to getting the crow to leave; regardless, the great cobra lunged. She reached Honchkrow in the blink of an eye, throwing her great purple coils around his body. Coel let out a choked cry of surprise as his wings were pinned to his sides and the snake's grip choked his breathing. He glared up at Arbok and gave a muffled caw in defiance.

Coel wasn't about to sit there and let the life be crushed out of him. His Trainer had given orders and the orders would be fulfilled. He focused on Arbok, training every bit of concentration in him on the snake. He felt a force rising in him, an energy that strove to be freed and released. Coel released it all right: eyes glowing, he sent a rippling blast of blue energy at Arbok. The energy slammed into her face, filling her head with deafening noise. She hissed in pain, feeling dulled and slow. However, despite her new migraine, she refused to give up. All she did was tighten her grip on a furious Coel.

The electric pokemon moved first, using a move that hopefully would help him. He raised his hands, which began to light up. A yellow box appeared around his body, completely engulfed in yellow glass. Electabuzz roared; nothing could hurt him now. He stared at his opponent, who looked like he didn’t really care. He flexed his claws again, wanting to make himself look intimidating; however, it didn’t work so well.

Coel moved next, performing a move that he knew inside and out. He flew high into the air, and he fluttered there for just a little bit. As he focused his dark energies, his wings began to glow a mellow purple. Honchkrow took one more wingbeat, and then began to dive towards the ground. His razor-sharp wings sliced into his foe, causing serious damage. Electabuzz cried out in pain; that had actually really hurt! It had hit his weakest spot too; some might call it a critical hit!
