No, the fact that he does nothing else other than trying to--rape--play the guitar is why he isn't a musician.

been a fan of this music since late 9o's

I happen to LOVE instrumental music simply because i then have no ones voice telling me what to think or how to feel when i listen to music.

Anyway my name's Broderick, some of my favorites that stick out are Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Pink Floyd, Pendulum, Muse, The Big Thrash 4, Soundgarden, Wolfmother, Van Halen... the list goes on. I'm from the Seattle area if you couldn't tell...

There is only one correct answer.

Ah yes, screaming behind non-sense lyrics and 5 minute guitar solos. What fantastic music.

*nonsensical. Also, glad to see you've come to your senses and come to appreciate true music. <3

Rap doesn't have harmony, thus it's not technically music. Technically. :I

Love you Ronnnn. :'3

Listen,
everyone has their write to music. Honestly, I think Heavy Metal is the most copied genre out there. I've listened to basically every major genre out there, even some of the gloomier metals, and I find they copy each other, ALOT. They sound the same, basically. I'm not gonna argue, cause I don't want this thread to be like the other WLM's where no one but TML could post any music without getting hated on. If it's gonna be that way, you can done count me out on this thread. Not mad, just gets old after a while. Know what i mean? yerppp.

I didn't say that you couldn't listen to it or that metal was perfect (well, I did, but I was kidding around about it. xD), all I did was say that I didn't feel it was music. Mainstream hip-hop is also repetitive, however. :L I've yet to hear a song that wasn't about sex, drugs, or 'being gangsta'. I've also never heard a song that wasn't overly auto-tuned and had actual people playing actual instruments.

I've also attempted to listen to rap/hip-hop that wasn't auto-tuned - just a 'vocalist' 'singing' into a mic. and I still didn't like it; the sound just doesn't appeal to me. It also unwillingly makes me angry and violent, which I despise. If I'm at a Suicide Silence concert then the anger is more pleasurable. Dunno how to explain it any other way.*shrug* If I enjoyed listening to rap, then I would, whether it's technically music or not, because honestly that isn't fucking important.

Just sayin~

Personally, I'm not a fan of both Black and Folk metal because of the few bands that I've listened to of that genre I couldn't stand the vocals and they songs were too slow to me. The songs are also very long. *_____* It's okay if you're a band like Queen and have one or two songs that are extremely lengthy, but when every song is five or more minutes... I just loose interest. :/

Anyway, yeah. I'll shut up right after I advertise this Opeth concert that I will have the luck of attending in Pomona this October. c:

You're jelly. <3

Cool Re: We Love Music 3, Tríú Eagrán

@ 3m0d0ll the fox theatre is a great joint to see a band.. good seats.
hope you enjoy yourself (now im left wondering.. we're either closer than we know to one another or we're arms length away).

@ Pokemon_Ron i respectfully disagree. i believe POP is the most copied mysic out there. Everyone and there mother has done a beatles song. everyone done a MJackson song there too.

If you were trying to say Metal just sounds like all other Metal.. not true. dont dogpile everything in one big heap. Cannibal Corpse dont sound like Korn and vise versa(sorry about using those two as my EX) You just cant go around saying that .

to alot of metal heads out there the standard verse chorus verse 3 chord songs just dont cut it. it feels wierd to say but sometimes those 5 minute solos have alot of meaning and depth behind them .
I for one from a musician standpoint would always rather play a 4 or 5 minute song in a 7 or 8 song set than the 20 song set with each song being 2 or 3 minutes long...in the latter you'll be off stage way before the metal band who will be wailing & shredding the nigth away long after...

and now I share with thee

I like you.

By the way, if you like artists like Evol Intent, you'll probably like Noisia. These dudes make some killer tracks(although you may know them already).

Eminem is the only mainstream rapper who raps about decent things and isn't all that repetitive.

"Music to my ears is about rhythm and melody, and if you're not mixing those two elements within a certain threshold, then you've basically just got one thing: Noise. But at the end of the day, I'm going to listen to what I want, and you're going to listen to what you want. So who really ******* cares anyway right? :D" - Le Deadmau5
