Activity Here and Pokemon Online server

DSL/TUST said i could post this.

As most of you know, activity here frikking sucks. Ive seen fat bald men and dead tree stumps get more action than this place. I know its harsh but its true.

If you dont know me, well you should do lol! Anyways i joined here in 2007 when D/P had just been released and this place was absolutely bustling with activity. Clans such as the Spartans, Icicle Clan and so many others. Pages upon pages of clans and now we have....3 active ones. Awesome members just leave because this place is no longer active. Do any of you remember guys like Ace123456789, how about Brettmeeink ? We want this place like it was when they were around but we need your guys help.

So what im going to propose is a Pokemon Online server. Howerver WE NEED SOMEONE to host it for us, http://pokemon-online.eu/downloads/Server_18.html. There is a tutorial in that link so if anyone could do that it would be MUCH appreciated because we NEED it. Being tagged onto a bigger forums PO server is not going to do this place any good. For one it loses a sense of community which is absolutely vital for activity.

Also what would YOU like to see here to promote activity ? We are open to ideas because heck we really need them and you guys are the ones who create that activity.

we've brought up the pol league server before, but last time it wasnt really an option because they were using it for something different. We are talking a server like smogons and po's. we joined a server with a couple of other forums but it was pretty inactivity.

I really wish I can help, but i can't go on PO, but once we find a server host we can put it in the announcement section to attract players to go on to pe2k. We should also offer the smogon tiers, along with a simulated version of the pe2k wifi league.

i think the po league is the already that..lol. finding a host is going to be a tough challenge. we've talked about getting a server before. with it being a free option maybe that means were getting closer

you would be able to host it? you would have to have your computer for most of the day.

I dunno where this leaves me cuz I'm strictly WiFi battler... one thought I had is lower the clan limit and we run like season which spans across a month or more where each clan battle each other. Something like football... since the clan limit is smaller there will be more teams

well the clan number isnt the big concern right now, activity is. will deal with clan business after we get people

well promoting the site will help out, so if you know people tell them. As far as the server goes, a stable PE2K host is needed.

Im with Daigon in that I too am a strictly WiFi only.

sure i have a laptop but as i tell a grip of people my lappy is old and obsolete running windows vista. and the battery life is *hit. I even crash sometimes doing Dreamworld which renders me useles for that day.

where are the WiFi-ers?

with the server you will attract battlers, battlers will increase activity which will attract more people.

Also im gonna help Seanrocks/rofltacos/Brainstorm aka old school guy get back into things if you remember him lol.

As for Wifiers, well we'd still love your input. What would you like to see done here to make you guys more active ? All the input we can get is appreciated. :)

EDIT:

@ TUST, if and when we get the server up we can also hold tutoring classes on there easily. We do it on PC and it works well. We get everyone to meet at a certain time and go over topics.
