Metagross is probably the most powerful.

Gardevoir has no defense against the dark arts. in other words its defense is shallow and whatever other pokemon have to protect against fire, this baby don't got.

as for metagross, points for being a steel/psychic but i'm sure theres better psychics out there.

as for me, i nix the whole type. psychic just dies too fast. ghost/dark is better, although my choice seems to be pathetic.

In my opinion in forth gen downwards Gardevoir is the best Special sweeper and has great movepole and looks amazing also i like gallade because of its typing a bit like medicharm, looks cool and has good moves + a stong Pysical sweeper.

In firth gen i would have to be gothielle it has a good movepole, looks good and is a Special sweeper + Special wall

Espeon is the best non-legendary psythic type Pokemon in my opinion. One of the best special sweepers.

I know that Espeon's defenses are crappy, but Speed and Sp. Attack helps on taking down many foes

I couldn't agree more. I'm currently using Espeon on HeartGold and it's awesome. :D I'm also using Gardevoir on Emerald and she's also kicking butt. (:

Espeon and Gardevoir looks like in many aspects

Espeon's base stats
HP 65/Attack 65/Defense 60/Speed 110/Sp Att 130/Sp Def 95

Gardevoir's base stats
HP 68/Attack 65/Defense 65/Speed 80/Sp Att 125/Sp Def 115

Espeon is faster and more offensive as long as Gardevoir is more deffensive and slightly less offensive than Espeon, but very similar. I'm still prefering Espeon, thouth.

i love espeon but the best psychic type from the 3rd gen was metagross. what makes it so great is meta unlike most of the other strong psychics meta doesnt rely on psychic moves to win.

If your counting all the games, id say Alakazam and Slowbro are two tough psychic types.
Gardevoir, Slowking and now finally in this generation Espeon is good.
