So basically, first judge decides if the pokemon gets a penalty, and how much that penalty will be. Also, there is a 12.5% chance at the start of each round that a period of Sunny Day will start, and a 12.5% that a period of Sandstorm will start. An environmental Sandstorm will override an environmental Sunny Day, but not vice-versa, following logic. All environmental weather effects last for as long as if a move had been used by a pokemon, and if a pokemon uses a weather changing move all standard rules are used. Boy, that all sounds confusing. Have fun ref's!

Erm, wrong section. Battles don't go into the archive until after they're finished. xD

[Flare] Ponyta (F)
Ability: Flash Fire
Obtained: Starter
Signature Move: N/A

Alright Flare, let's get this battle started off right! Use Agility, then Body Slam! If they protect at any time, use Tail whip.

Substitute @5 HP to get rid of that Body Slam. Ponyta has better stats than my Vulpix so I'm gonna take that to my advantage with Power Swap.

The great ocean of sand spread out all around us. The three of us stood in the middle of the vast desert getting ourselves ready for the oncoming battle. Two pokémon stood in the middle of the makeshift battlefield that had been marked down on the sand: a Vulpix on one side and a Ponyta on the other. The two fire-types watched each other cautiously, neither wanting to give the other an inch of rope. I blew my whistle, wanting to try and get this over before a sandstorm blew in.

Round One

MasterGalladeXD

Vulpix (F)

HP: 100%
Energy: 100%
Condition: On her guard; -1 Speed
Moves: Substitute ~ Power Swap

haybalebarn

[Flare] Ponyta (F)

HP: 100%
Energy: 100%
Condition: A little nervous about the sand; -1 Speed
Moves: Agility ~ Body Slam

Flare knew that the sand would slow her down if she didn’t do anything to maintain the strength in her legs. So, in order to prevent herself from weakening, she began to run around her opponent, kicking up a great spray of sand behind her. Vulpix watched her race around with disbelief; she knew that she could never be quite that fast. That didn’t matter though: she had other plans to get ahead.

The little fox began to mould a sculpture of herself. It took a little while to get an acceptable likeness, but, once she was done, she was really happy with the result. In fact, she was so happy that she wanted to bring her creation to life. Her tails wrapped around the model and she transferred some of her energy into the sand. Slowly, the Vulpix’s creation took a tentative step forward. Then another. The tails slipped away from its body as it took a defensive position in front of its creator – it was going to do everything in its power to protect her against whatever her foes would try and do.

Flare simply sniggered; something as pathetic as that couldn’t stop her. She broke into a gallop, sending a plume of sand up into the air behind her as she ran. Vulpix stared at the horse in awe, wondering how it could manage to keep up such a speed on the soft sands of the desert. Meanwhile, her substitute braced herself for the impact, knowing that it was going to be difficult for her to take a hit from that momentum and survive. At the last moment, Flare leapt into the air, and then came down hard on Vulpix’s guardian. The sand creature collapsed without too much of a fight beneath the Ponyta’s rock-hard hooves. Vulpix gulped – that could be her next time if she wasn’t more careful.

Thankfully, the sly fox had a plan to get one up on her opponent. Her tails stood on end as psychic energy crackled through her fur, giving her a strange, orange aura. This aura lashed out in whip and caught Flare around the neck as she tried to get herself out of the sand from Vulpix’s substitute. She felt the tentacle around her neck, but it was too late to stop her opponent now. She felt her strength drain away and saw the cunning beast visibly get stronger. This was going to be a little more difficult than she thought.

MasterGalladeXD

Vulpix (F)

HP: 95%

Condition: Feeling quite smug; +3 Attack, +1 Special Attack -1 Speed

haybalebarn

Uhmmmm...You mixed up the moves there, Vulpix used Sub and Power Swap not Agility and Body Slam.

Body Slam then Confuse Ray. If he wasn't paralyzed on the first use it again

Hmm, looks like we're going to have to do some different tactics in normal, great fun!

Alright, use reflect, then charm. If you're paralyzed after the first turn, use facade instead.

Round Two

MasterGalladeXD

Vulpix(F)
HP: 95%
Energy: 92%
+3ATK +1SPATK -1SPD

Haybalebarn

[Flare]Ponyta(F)
HP: 100%
Energy:77%
+1SPD =3ATK -1SPATK

The sound of steps in sand was all that was heard as both Pokemon continued on. Flare wanted to make sure that the new changes in its opponents strength did not work to its advantage. Flare made an invisible wall in front of itself, to keep itself safe from physical blows. (Flare -6 energy reflect for 4 actions)

Vulpix wanted to make its opponent feel some of how it felt in the early round. It got a running start and then jumped into the air and came down on top of its opponent with a massive crash. Vulpix felt as if it had hit a wall as the move did affect the horse as a critical hit. However, it was not as strong as it could have been, not only because of the reflect, but also because Flare was much larger than Vulpix.(Vulpix -20 energy) (Flare -10HP)

Flare nodded in agreement as it knew its opponent had been weaken. It decided to further weaken it as it simply stood there in the sand and showed off its charm. Vulpix watched, finding Flare to be full of charm as its attack was lowered. (Flare -3energy) (Vulpix -1ATK)

Since its opponent had not been paralyzed, Vulpix once again jumped into the air and came crashing down on the charmful Flare. Flare nearly shook the attack off as Vulpix just wanted big enough to pull this move off very well, even worse with reflect in the picture.(Vulpix -20 energy) (Flare -3HP)

No Sunny day or sand storms began.

MasterGalladeXD

Vulpix(F)
HP: 95%
Energy: 52%
+2ATK +1SPATK -1SPD
Blast that reflect!

Haybalebarn

[Flare]Ponyta(F)
HP: 87%
Energy:68%
+1SPD -3ATK -1SPATK
Reflect for two more actions
Happy with reflect for protection

Notes: I had to deduct from Body Slam from Vulpix because its only 22 pounds and Ponyta is up at 66 pounds. Vulpix's little body isn't going to be entrely useless but certainly won't have the same affect as Ponyta has.

Hmm, that worked rather well! Use Hypnosis, then Curse. If they protect during the first round, use Curse instead, then use Hypnosis. If Hypnosis misses the first round, use it again the next.

Flare was thinking: if her opponent was snoring, what would be the end result? She figured that a sleeping opponent could be put to sleep a lot more permanently. So Flare decided she liked that idea: psychic waves began coming off of her,and one could almost hear the "you are getting sleeeeeepy" typical of hypnotists. All of a sudden, Vulpix checked out. (Flare: -3 ENG; Vulpix: SLP)

The Vulpix's comeback was a very clever,"zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz" (no action due to SLP)

Flare decided it didn't really need speed: it did need power, though. So, the Ponyta began to brace itself into the sand and strengthen its muscles. The ponyta wasnt very fast, anymore, but it could take it and dish it out (Flare:-13ENG, +1ATK,DEF, -1SPD)

The Vulpix was still passed out on the ground.
