Oh, sorry, I thought that Smogon was going to hold the implementation of B2W2 stuff off until the English release. Well, I'll just follow what they do blindly. When Smogon updates and adds the stuff to Standard OU, feel free to use any of the new B2W2 toys.

Week 2 theme will be posted later. Also, starting on Week 2, there's been a minor scheduling change. Refer to the second post for more.

EDIT: This theme's week will be all Pokemon must use their Dream World-exclusive abilities. If you choose to use Scizor, for example, it must have Light Metal, and if you choose to use Tyranitar, it must have Unnerve. Pokemon with no hidden ability are banned altogether.

To make this slightly less restricting, the ban on unreleased hidden abilities is lifted for this week. All DW abilities are allowed. For a list of DW abilities, go here: http://www.serebii.net/blackwhite/dr...bilities.shtml

are we allowed to use pokemonshowdown? my PO is being a butt and PS is the same thing but I can play on the internet, plus graphics. Smogon has already technically made the switch, so it's their "main battling sim" or whatever.

I've been meaning to talk to Web about that, only I've been really busy this week and haven't seen him on AIM much. But, I think it should be fine. Go ahead and do your battles on Showdown if you want, though you still need logs either way. Meanwhile, I'll get confirmation from Web so I know if it's cool or not. Until then, I'll accept them anyways.

To be honest I dont think Black and White 2 should count for this week. Its not really standard fifth gen ou yet. Since not everywhere has access to them.

I don't really see any harm in allowing it. If you really want to use B2W2 stuff, you can always just go to Pokemon Showdown, and that doesn't even require a download. You can even import teams from PO (tho I just found that out lol), which eliminates most of the hassle.

Black and White 2 is like using dream world teams...it shouldnt count as standard because the pokemon and some of their abilities are not released.
