I'm not really sure somebody would willingly say "Hey, I live there!" to a stranger. I know you probably aren't, and that you're a nice guy, but people would feel really uncomfortable giving personal details to somebody they don't know who could, potentially, be a predator or an evil-unicorn-bunny.

I am suggesting in no way that you are either of these, you seem like a cool guy (hence why I added you to my friends list :D), but I think it would be better to try and make friends, get to know people so much more before they even give you any sort of personal information. I'm telling you this because I can't see many people replying to this saying that they live near your area .

Might I recommend popping into the Daily Chit Chat Thread to speak to some new people and to make more friends? :D

It makes me sad every time a new mod gets promoted, since I've been here for so long without any significant position other than URPG Ref... ;(

Then again, I wouldn't make a good mod anyways since I don't exactly visit here often. ;P

I think it's pretty interesting how a lot of forums have their own standards for picking out their staff team, it makes things fairly flavorful and it is quite an achievement to work hard for something for quite a while to finally be rewarded for a position for that hard work~

I've got a lot to prove, and I've gotta start being a lot more mature than I have been.
Time to step up my game and get my forum active!

Sounds like you're in the same boat I was.

Anyways, yeah, I once joined a place and only got promoted after a few months of being there. I do think that it is interesting, as Asch commented,to see the different sorts of standards on different forums. Though from what I've seen, people who get picked to be mods deserve to be mods for the most part. So congratulations! And may you serve your forum well. :3

I'm still new here and trying to figure things out. Kind of overwhelmed by all there is to do, but I'm sure I'll check it out a bit later once I stop being so gunshy. @_@ (Always gunshy when I join a forum. People scare me. Takes time to get used to all the dynamics and the feel of a place.)

I think LS mentioned something about random, meaningless posts being frowned upon on this thread... I'm not sure if your post falls under that jurisdiction or not... Or you can be like:

Those pictures are creepy though - I LOVE how people give Pokemon an entirely new look :D
