As you all know, the legendary Meloetta is known as the "Melody Pokemon"--the muse of the Pokemon world, so to speak. In her honor, let us create a playlist featuring some of our favorite Pokemon tunes or remixes! Share a link or two and explain why those melodies move you!

I'll start the ball rolling by sharing some of my favorite themes from Black and White, as orchestrated by YoshiDude12: [link] N's Castle was quite the epic climax to the story, and I felt that this song really portrays the tension that's quickly escalating as you navigate the enigmatic castle. I also like the antique feeling the different intruments add, making it feel as if you really are reliving an old legend (dat organ! mmm!). I especially like what YoshiDude did with this remix, adding the choir which really contributed to the over-all effect.

Next, I'd like to share this remix by TheGuitarHeroe: [link] The PMD games have some of the most amazing soundtracks, I think. Other than this piece--which is a mash-up really of several themes--I'm also fond of the "Time Gear" Theme, "Through the Sea of Time", and the various Grovyle themes. But I picked this remix because of the instruments used in it and the emotion portrayed in it :3

Lastly, I can't talk about Pokemon music without sharing Pokemon Re-Orchestrated. Out of the music skotein has posted so far, I'd have to say I like the SS Anne is my favorite, due to the awesome string lead it has :3 I feel like it really portrays a sea-bound adventure ^^

most villainous teams get their own battle theme, i personally think most of them are quite lame, but this one is actually pretty good

its so calming, i actually fell asleep listening to it once, i am not kidding

EDIT2: the sad ending song from PMD 1

i find this a sadder theme than the greatest loss of all

and the (super) pokemon rumble blast opening theme

for the classy piano part, and the guitar is almost as crazy as in the japanese BW2 trailer

Tears, after the cloudy weather
It's played in the first episode where Ash and Pikachu run from Spearow. It's such a sad song, but it reminds me of strength and courage.

The legend comes to life.
Lugia's theme! The music is beautiful and has always been a favourite of mine.

Pokemon Reorchestrated is completely amazing. <3

This theme, 14 hours almost straight, one paper. Still brings a smile to face despite that, so cheery and upbeat!

Beast battle theme
Really like her take on the song. Kinda reminds me of Autumn Plains in Spyro 2. Maybe it would make a good battle theme for the area if it had one X3

BW Kanto Champ
One epic theme, one epic battle.

R/S/E Rival into/battle theme
Just really like how this sounds, especially the change in mood when to intro changes to the battle theme.

Primal Dialga battle
Violin=awesome. It's use here is awesome. Thus, this is awesome. ^^

Route 120
I just picture something opening up to someone. It's important, low key, happy but also bittersweet. X3

PMD ("Memories of You" + "Run Away" combo remix)
A lot of emotion in this one, I think anyway.

PMD Temporal Tower
Really like the mood of the remix!

Distortion World
One of my favorite remixes out there. The atmosphere is perfect, lost in a strange land of darkness, you learn things about yourself and others, trying to press onward but lines are getting blurry...

Sky Tower
Sky Tower is one of my fav themes ever. This is one of (if not) my favorite remixes period. The mood changes as the song does, which I loved. Just amazing...

So yeah, got a lot here. Might get even more later X3
