Phew!

I walked over and scooped the Quick Ball up in my hands. "That's better! Well, little guy, have a nice little rest in there for a little while. I'll run you into the Pokemon Center in the next town."

"Char," Blaze nodded approvingly. Then, he started nudging me back to our "camping tree" persistently.

"Okay, okay," I relented with a grumble. "I'll get some sleep... Tomorrow, it's Navi Town! ...Finally..."

After a relatively good night's rest in Route 2 (boy, there were a lot of critters makin' noises that night...), Blaze and I packed up and headed back down the route.

JC walks on to Route 2 with a smile on his face.
"Well I didnt much care for Route 1, Lost a pokeball, got attacked by beedrill, poor pidgey is still asleep...oh and Meowth got away. Ashley Route 2 will be much better for us !"

Chimchar jumped up and down.

JC looks around the beautiful path. The talls tress provide a blank of shade. JC holds his hand out watches the flicking light flash across his hand as he walks.

"With such tall trees we are bound to see a couple of pokemon!"

JC rushes up covering Sunkern mouth.
"Don't ! you put one of my pokemon to sleep already. That may have worked on the beedrill, but not everything likes being put to sleep."

JC looks over at him surprised.
"That thing could put both of us asleep ! or any trainer walking around..you could hurt someone using that move. You could also hurt a pokemon if its flying by and falls to the ground. As a new trainer you have to think about the big picture."

A voice interrupts your bickering...

"Oh, look, some more newbies." A teenager is standing against a tree up ahead, watching you approach. "Let me guess, you're brand new, never had a battle in your life, ha! I knew it was a bad idea to hang out here, all I can find are weaklings." Felix sniffs arrogantly.

"I mean look at your Pokemon! That Chimchar wouldn't know how to fire up a stove and I bet that Abra can't even attack. Waste of my -"

The annoying young man suddenly freezes. Something small and green has dropped from the tree branch and landed on his head. "ARGH!" he screeches, trying to fling the thing off. He finally succeeds, flicking the Spinarak to the ground, and takes off running, bowling PJ over in the process. PJ falls backwards into the bushes by the side of the path.

"Spin! Spinarak," the bug chirps and races at JC. Looks like this one wants a fight!

Wild Spinarak appeared! Write a paragraph about the battle if you want to catch it!
Spinarak challenged JC.

JC looks over at the rude young man. He is hardly a new trainer but he isnt the type of person to brag. JC is great at observing others actions, but he really didnt need this right now. He listen to the man without saying a word. He watched the whole mess play out.

"Spinarak ?"

JC stands for a moment surprised to see this kind of aggression out of a pokemon that was normally laid back. Something must have work it up. JC held Pidgey looking down at Ashley.
"No rest for us today Ashley, this bug wants to battle so lets give it one !"

Chimchar bashes on the ground
"Charrr! Char!!!"

The Spinarak leaps into the air catching Chimchar by surprise. Chimchar falls back the ground using its hands and feet to kick Spinarak off. The little spider flies through the air landing safely on the ground. Once it lands the litlte spider sprays out a string shot which wraps around Chimchar slowing it down.

JC still holding Pidgey calls out.
" Ashley the little spider thinks its webs are going to hold you back! Lets show it your trick !"

Chimchar struggles for a second but quickly stops focusing.
"Chim, Chimchar !!"

The back of its tail heats up. Soon a strong blaze from its tail melts off the web. The boosted fire power has made the Chimchar more focused. It takes of running towards the Spinarak who again leaps into the air. This time however, Chimchar also jumps grabbing the spider out of the air and slams it to the ground. Chimchar then quickly moves in

JC rushes over
" Ember ! "

Chimchar smiles
"CHARRR!"

The strong ember sprays out covering the spider. JC uses his free arm to use the ball that had failed before.
" Pokeball go !"
JC tosses the ball over at the Spinarak.

The Pokeball clicks shut and begins to rock...

Just as you're ready to celebrate, something large and red crawls down from the tree, followed by many little green spiders. An Ariados... and it seems like you've just caught one of its babies!

The Ariados begins to spin a web across the path, from tree to tree. The little Spinarak crawl over the web, fortifying its weak spots, and then take shelter back in the tree tops.

Ariados now clicks its fangs menacingly. It wants its baby back and that web is stopping you from going anywhere...

The commotion causes your Pidgey to awaken.

Wild Ariados appeared! Release Spinarak or defeat Ariados to escape.
Cannot be captured.

Note: You unfortunately can't reuse Pokeballs, so if a Pokemon fails to be caught, that ball disappears. Make sure you remember to remove it from your stats :)

JC bends down to pick up the ball looking over at Chimchar.
"Why would it attack us like that...We should help PJ.."

JC looks up seeing the webs come around.
"This could be extremely dangerous ! Ashley get behind me!"

JC looks down at he pokeball and then back at the family above him. Another Pokeball loss would really hinder his ability to catch anything new, but taking the pokemon away from its family could make this path dangerous for other travelers. JC sighs looking at the ball.
"You are free.."
The Spinarak comes out. Looking at him.
"Please, in the furture dont just attack people, you could hurt someone..."
JC looks up.
"I have released your baby, now clear our path and dont harm any travelers that come by !Because if I find out that you have, I will come looking for you !"
The ball disappears.
JC smiles looking at Chimchar. Pidgey lets out a little yawn as it wakes up again. JC looks over at PJ.
"Yeah...fun.."

*but in the show the ball can be reused ! with no way to really earn points this is a big loss ! oh well ill mark it down.*
