Party:     PC:    Currently: Huh?! I hear a familiar screech. ' "SKAAAAAAAAAR!" "Was that...?!" "If it isn't my little brother!" Crap. "Saffron?!" I cried. "What ARE you doing here?" "Gym Leaders were assigned specific Routes. I happened to get Route 5." "GYM LEADER?!" "Oh, so Mom didn't tell you. I'm the Apollo City Gym Leader! After I returned from Kanto, Mom said you had started your journey in Celestia. I was hoping you'd start in Johto like me, but oh well. Why'd you leave New Bark anyways?" "I received a letter from Professor Cedar. She was giving away Pokemon, so I came for Cyndaquil." "You could've gotten Cyndaquil from Professor Elm..." "Yes. But let me tell you the story to this. Remember that baby Cyndaquil Professor Elm received? The one I wanted so badly? While you were gone, it was stolen. The captors were caught and the Cyndaquil transferred to Celestia." "Oh, right. Anyways. You comin' to challenge my Gym?" "Eventually, yes. Whenever I reach Apollo." "Well let me give you a ride!" "No, my Pokemon aren't ready, and it's not a journey if I skip around. I have to do this the right way!" "Ah, I see. Just like your brother, me!" I sighed. "Why are you on patrol anyways?" "Criminals. A nasty group has been running around shadily. They've also been stealing Pokemon." "That's awful! I'll be sure to be on lookout." "No, you're not strong enough to take them on. The Gym Leaders don't even know their strength." "But Saffron..." "Corey, no. Leave this to the Celestia Region." "I'm strong enough and I'll prove it! Battle me!" "You have ONE badge. You can't even use level 50s yet. However, I am training my Gym Pokemon, and their about level 25. So fine, I'll grant your wish!" "Music to my ears! Let's see...Courage, take the stage!" "WOOF!" He barked enthusiastically. "Alright then. Magamar, show them your style!" "Mag...MAR." I smiled wryly.  VS  "Alright, Courage, Work Up!" Courage glowed and his Attacks rose. "Heh! Magmar, Confuse Ray!" Magmar used a ray to confuse Herdier. "H-Herdier!" The dog hit it's self in confusion. "Now, Fire Blast!" Magmar glowed, then shot out a tiny ball which hit Herdier and then expanded into a singeing flame. The smoke cleared, and Herdier had fainted. "No!" "See? You're not ready. Now are you up for more?" "...No." "Alrighty then. Now let me heal Herdier..." Saffron took his medicine out and Herdier became fully healed. "Now little brother, I have some patrol work to get to. It was nice seeing you." He hugged me. "Nice seeing you too Saff. I'll be stronger when I get to Apollo, I promise! Bye!" "See ya!" He flew off on Skarmory. "Well, I guess we better get moving..."

Party: PC: Currently: Exploringt "Hey!" My shouting scares the Seedot off. "Now I'm all muddy!!" I strip off all my clothes, set up a fire and bathe in the river. I wash my clothes and put them over the fire. I then jump into the the river bare. I arise from the bottom of the river bed slowly and drip off seductively. I put on pajama pants and set up the tent. I then call everyone out for dinner. Pokemon food and soup. Yay. After we all eat, I tuck Cyndaquil in bed, recall all my Pokemon, and put them in my bag. Murkrow and I are out by the fire. "You know, I spotted you on Route 4." Murkrow looked at me. "You did? Why didn't you want to be caught?" "I was trying to avoid other...things." "So, you let Minty catch you but no one else?" "No, I stumbled out of the bushes after tripping over a plant. Stupid plants." "You're glad you're with me now, right?" "Yeah, honestly. Probably the nicest thing I've ever said, but I honestly do. Better than living alone." "What happened to your family?" "All ditched me. Momkrow, Dadkrow, Brokrow. AuntKrow. All of 'em." "W-Why?" "I don't know. I woke up one morning a lone. Never found em. I had to teach myself to fly. I head to teach myself telekinesis. All of it. I was just a hatchling when they left." "Hmm...Well, don't dwell on that. Time for bed." "Mmhm. Night."

As Pleasant and I entered Route 5 together I was happy that we were one step closer to Aurora City. Meeting JC had gotten me all fired up for the gym - I couldn't wait to see what other Pokemon were in his arsenal. It was getting quite dark on the route and it was getting difficult to see. I plucked a Nest Ball from my belt and released Mortull. Her candlelight instantly improved the vision of the group, allowing us to navigate without worrying about the obstacles ahead of us. "I bet you're glad you caught me now, teehee!" she proclaimed, floating further ahead. "Don't you go running off, little missy!" I warned her, upping my pace. I turn to Pleasant. "Are all Ghost-types this difficult with their trainers?" I asked him cheekily. "Hey. That's racist." "Oops, sorry." I wasn't really knowledgeable on Pokemon social construct yet, but it made sense for them to follow similar rules to us humans. "Hey, Eti!" Mortull suddenly stopped and pointed ahead with her flame. "Who's that in the tent?" "I think that's Corey's tent," I conclude, trying to remember if the colour was the same as when I saw his tent last time. "If it's not, I call dibs on torching it!" The candle-like Pokemon let out a creepy laugh before floating further towards the tent. "Hey, wait!" I yell, trying to keep up with her. "That could be my tent that I left behind!" Pleasant continued to float beside me, not saying a word. Entered Route 5 from Route 6.

"There's the Route 7 sign! About two hours away!" "I thought we were going to Route 6?" Murkrow whined. "Well, with Flaaffy cursed, we should make it to Aurora. We'll get the gym badge then get to Nova. Sound good?" "Yeah, that actually sounds better. Hurry!" Murkrow laughed.

"Hey, neat," I said to my Pokemon as I picked up the stars off of the floor. "This should come in handy at some point." I pocketed them and pointed towards Corey. "Look, I think he's about to leave." "Without us?" Mortull puffed her cheeks up angrily. "He didn't even say hi! I should torch his trainer-butt!" "Cool it, Mortull." Pleasant was eerily quiet, almost like he was anticipating a great event and was preparing for it by keeping a clear head. "He means no offence." "We should probably head that way, too," I told the group. "We should be in Aurora in a few days."

Cyndaquil, take the stage!" "I'm ready!" Cyndaquil cried out. "Uh, Corey, this is an Aron. You know, PART ROCK TYPE." "It's fine, it can't learn any Rock moves by lev-" Aron started using Head Smash. "KDGSLKSDG CYNDAQUIL DODGE." Volcano pops out of the way. "You were saying?" was his witty response. "Well use Flamethrower!" "Alright, CYNDAAA-QUIIIIIIL!" The Aron was hit. A flame engulfed it. "It was burned! It's attack is halfed! Yes!" That didn't stop it. It stood, then started charging. It's head like iron. "Cyndaquil!" Too late. He was hit by Iron Head. "Argh! I'm fine. Flame Charging!" "But I'm the one who is supposed to command you..." "No matter Corey! Hi-ya!" Cyndaquil downed the Aron. I took out a Pokeball. "Pokeball, go!" The ball tapped Aron on it's head, and enclosed it. It began to wiggle...
