A strange man appears walking through the woods. You get kinda a weird vibe from the man but he seems friendly.

"Hey there! Whoa your a pokemon trainer ! would it be possible if I could see one of your pokemon ? "

Seriously, what is with these swarms of Pokemon Maniacs that will soon engulf the entire Celestia. I hope he won't be a crybaby like the one before in Route 3. What was his name again? Argh, I better deal with this one first.
"So, what's your deal?" I ask the stranger as he pants heavily through his surgical mask.
"Heheh... I just want to observe what Pokemon you have so far in this journey." the man grins through his mask.
Hm, its better to let him see my Pokemon rather than having a fuss over it like before.
"Sure. Which one of Pokemon do you want to see?"
"Hohoh... I just want to see the most precious Pokemon you got." He holds out his hand.
The weird gesture almost made me change my mind. So who is my most treasured Pokemon? I guess its Treecko, since he's the longest to ever walk beside me.
"Treecko!" I call out to my Treecko who seems to have been waiting for me somewhere ahead since he hasn't been coming back after that outburst of energy.
"Treec!" Treecko replies as runs back to my side from wherever he's been in the darkness ahead.
"Here he is. If you do anything funny, I swear that my Pichu will electrocute you until the dawn of the day." I observe his every movement carefully, as the Pokemon Maniac look at my Treecko.

The man lifts the Treecko smiling. You watch very carefully as the man hold it.


"You have raised a wonderful pokemon!" the stranger says to you. Because of how dark it is outside you fail to notice the doc pull out a little needle. The doc injects Treecko who jumps down and walks over.
The Creepy doc says goodbye vanishing into the woods. Once he is out of sight you look down at treecko who is now acting a little strange and falls over.



*Because of the inject Treecko will be unusable until you reach the next town.

You hold your Treecko close as you notice it acting under the weather.
As if it weren't enough, it suddenly perks up and begins to panic. You begin experiencing a similar feeling of dread...you sense that you will be unable to leave this route.

You look around frantically, calling out for help, hoping that somebody out here will actually lend you a hand.

The only answer you get is a crash nearby.

A few feet away, you notice a glowing object lodged into the ground. As you approach, you see what looks like a bizarre obsidian rock. Could this help Treecko...?

JC yawns as he arrives he moves through the forest. Its dark and for some reason he feels as if he had been asleep for weeks.
" Ash, keep an eye open...Im still feeling off since that fall."

Chimchar looks up to him confused. She wraps her arms around his leg.

You continue through the forest. Your Chimchar seems nervous about something... The forest is dark, even at this time of day. Every so often you think you catch sight of a light shining through the trees from the corner of your eye, but it disappears every time you turn to look.

You press onward determinedly. A small, beaten track leads off the main path and deeper in the forest. Do you follow it or stay on the route?

"In my village its customary for children to spend a night or two in the forest alone. The elders say it helps get rid of any fear of the dark."

She continues to sob. "I-I'm fine. It's j-just, I haven't seen any cute Pokemon since I got here! It's all been ugly Bellsprout! Ugly, ugly, ugly!"

She lifts her head from her hands. You can see she has quite stunning blue eyes, shining like diamonds bathing in a pure river. "Oh?! Your Chimchar! It's so cuuuuute!"

Without warning she rips the Fire-type from your hands, swinging it around in the air and hugging it frantically. "Yes! This is the one! So cute!"

She puts the monkey-like Pokemon down on the floor in front of you and turns to her bag. She rummages through for a short moment before pulling something out and presenting something to you.

"Thank you for making my day!" she grins at you, stuffing the object into your hands. "Maybe I'll see you again?" She leans down to kiss your Chimchar on its head and then walks away. "Bye!"
