Trading Question D: - Pokemon Forum

First things first, i got a DS and i'm getting another one tomorrow. Since Diamond & Pearl are not out till god knows when i need a short question asked about Emerald Trading.

Would the DS's Wireless ability send Emerald to Emerald/Ruby/Shappire/FireRed/LeafGreen with needing GBA Link Cable's or it's Wirelessness or do i need a GBA?

You need to beat the game, and have the GBA game inserted into the GBA slot on the DS, and then you pick some pokemon, and they go to pokepark, and you catch them. Thats not very good, sorry. Go here for more info! Serebii's Pal Park Page

I think you need two GBAs for that to work but im not sure. But I know you can't do it with one GBA and a DS.

To trade between Emerald and Pearl/Diamond you use a DS, but to trade between two GBA games, you have to have two GBA's.

When using GBA games, you can't trade GBA to DS or even DS to DS.

there is no real trading between those games. theres "uploads". you can upload your pokemon from GBA,
and it will automatically be level 70 on diamond/pearl. you catch them in a safari game with masterball-like park balls.
you get a limited time to catch them.

linking games-- GBA game in GBA slot (bottom), and diamond or pearl in DS slot.
you can only upload after you beat the league, i think...

Because Nintendo likes you to buy there things, you need GBA's or Colosseum and the adapter thing if you want to trade between GBA games.

But for D/P, just push them both in at the same time.

Actually I am not really sure what you mean but...

Trading Pokemon from GBA versions are NOT possible. Well, you transfer Pokemon, not exactly trade. GBA Pokemon versions cannot match the NDS versions. However, D/P can trade with each other on the NDS. However, if you attach 2 GBA games to 2 NDS, you cannot trade either. You need to use GBA, and link cable.

yeah, that's uploading. like i explained, in more technical terms....
