This is The Pokedex Project, otherwise known as The 493. Sound familiar? It should do. In 2008, a project called The 493, run by Figmented Imagination, caught the art boards in a frenzy of banner-making. Figmented Imagination, aka Rattata, has corrected me that it was indeed a member called The Speedy Grass Horse who started the project. He's banned, but THANKS ANYWAY~! <3 The concept, if you haven't already guessed, is to make a banner of every single official Pokemon to date. Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh are all included in this delicous project, although to start off, we're only including the first generation to see how we go. Who is this we, I hear you cry? Well, chaps, in charge of this activity-boosting... activity, we have the gorgeous Hakken, the incredible iReign, and of course myself. So! How do you take part? Well, here: I'll explain for you. The Requirements How do I make a banner for you? Well I'm assuming that you know how to make an actual banner. xD For the project, the requirements are very simple. The banner must include an image of the Pokemon you have chosen. The banner must include either the name or the number of the Pokemon you have chosen. The banner must be your entirely own creation. If there is a breach of this, it will be proven against you, and you will be punished. Art thieves are a speciality of mine. The banner must not exceed 400x200. The banner must not star two different species of Pokemon. DO NOT SUBMIT MORE THAN THREE BANNERS A DAY. QUALITY OF BANNERS IS STARTING TO GET A LITTLE SLOPPY. How many banners can I submit? Well, overall, as many as you wish. However, you may only reserve three Pokemon at a time. How do I submit a banner? Just tell us which Pokemon you would like to reserve, or if you feel lucky, just go ahead and make one for a Pokemon. Once you've finished it, upload it securely onto a Photobucket account or something similar, and post it on here. ALL MEMBERS OF THE PROJECT MAY HAVE A PROFILE POST TO KEEP ALL OF THEIR COMPLETED BANNERS AND RESERVES IN CHECK. What should it look like?  This beautiful example by iReign shows exactly what we are looking for. Speaking of iReign, I will now move on to the members lists. GIMP is very easy to master once you've grasped the basics. There are thousands of tutorials and lots of GIMP users here who will be more than happy to help you out. <:
