We got our class selection form for Senior year today. Out of 372 Juniors in the school, I'm number 44 ^^ I'm one of the best! XD

Okay. New Divide seems to be about a lover, BUT, I think it's actually about yourself.

Okay, so he's referring to himself. Simple, right?

A bridge in understanding, maybe? Denied the truth for so long, you begin to believe what you want, all the false evidence. So by doing this, you're rediscovering yourself.

Memories? Only you would really remember memories, the ones of truth you destroyed. You can't hide from truth, afterall. Because you tried, understanding between yourself and your "conscious", let's say, broke.

"Wash this memory clean" is also a repeating lyric, meaning you're going to accept things as they come and not lie to yourself.

"In every loss, in every lie, in every truth that you'd deny,
In each regret and each goodbye was a mistake too great to hide,
And your voice was all I heard...That I get what I deserve..."

See? Denying truth with lies. Regretting and saying goodbye were mistakes, as you didn't try to rectify it and thus seperated yourself from...Well, you. So your "conscious" has given up in a sense, hoping you learn your lesson the hard way.




See? It fits Skye as a main theme song. He's always struggling with turmoil within because of a mysterious sin he commited in his past, not to mention guilt.

Skye is also the only character of mine to currently have a theme song that changes depending on what "episode" he's in. "New Divide" is his theme for Shift and Infection, but in Sanguine Snow it turns to the considerably darker "Animal I Have Become" >:3
