Introduction & Objectives
A place where you can learn and improve for the better! Have you always got confused in battles over which attacks to use? Or do you need help in writing stories? Whatever it is, this is the place where you don't have to be shy and ask as many questions as you like; getting the help that you might have always wanted from your masters.
This time, Haze and I'll be running this program. The goal of the Master and Apprentice Program is to create a better URPG community for everyone. Masters should not only teach their apprentices about how the URPG works, strategies, and writing, but manners and grammar as well. As the apprentices learn, they will grow to become better battlers or writers as well as learning to type in proper grammar and to respect other URPG members.
Simply put, the goal of this program is to create a better community in which people will have fun and make friends.
There are two levels for this.
The first one is for the Newbies. They are new to the URPG and are in need of guidence to start their career as a Trainer. They generally only have one or a few Pokemon and haven't been in the URPG for very long. They will be learning mostly basics of the URPG; Battle Strategies, Writing Stories, Money Management, Planning and of course any other help the Trainer needs. Of course, you can request for a more specialized help if you want. All you do is specify in the form.
The second is for the Advanced Apprentices. These people have generally been in the URPG longer and understand how the basics work. They normally just need a more strategist view of URPG, since they already know how the basics work and thus, will want to improve on specific things. Mostly, these people just need help to improve their battling/writing skills, or learning how to ref/grade.
Simply apply using this form and you can make your URPG adventure an easier one!

What You Want to Learn: Basics, or even specific. Simply state what you want to learn.
Masters are some of the best Trainers the URPG have to offer. They need to be skilled battlers or writers, know how things work, and of course have decent battle etiquette. Also, they need tolerance and the willingness to teach a member, for some members can get quite difficult to teach.
Point out your strong points as well, so that your apprentice can get the correct specific help. If we do find out you've been ill-treating your apprentice, you'll be in for it though. >:O

Once you're application is posted, Ataro or Haze will determine if you're accepted as a Master. If not, don't be sad! You may become one in due time.
Communication & Tools
In order to help your apprentice and for apprentices trying to get help, you'll be highly encouraged to download a mesenger (preferably AIM), since it'll be vital to the apprentice's growth.
These are the places you can download the three main messengers. AIM is recommended though, since most of the battles happen there. If you cannot download any of these, you can try AIM Express since it doesn't require downloading, just your registration of screenname. Alternatively, you can try Meebo.com.
Another helpful tool that you'll need is the reffing calculators. These technologies will help you to calculate damages, learn to make good move choices, and why one move is a better choice than another one, even if it is a super-effective move. Links for these calculators can be found in the RefPedia thread.
