The wind was blowing strong over the Great Lakes that day. One could see the waves over the different waters. A few Pokemon surfing, other Pokemon hiding from the wind, even some sand being blown over the water.

Sitting on a boulder while admiring the scenery was a Ranger. Tanned skin, black hair, average height, and wearing his favorite blue jeans and white T-shirt. Ranger Eli really like coming to this place to relax whenever he had an assignment. He looked right behind him where a truck with a single bad of garbage was driving away.

Laying on the boulder next to the Ranger was a Shellder. The small Pokemon looked up towards her trainer.

"Well, it tends to build up with each visit to this place. Someone had to clean it up," said Ranger Eli.

At that moment, a voice came out of Eli's radio, "Eli...uhh...dude, two trainers showed up and...uhh...I'm swamped as it is...this one guy is headed your way....could you..."

"Yeah, sure. I was done with the cleaning anyway. Send him here," Eli answered.

Within seconds, a trainer with both a Natu on his head and a Blaziken on his side materialized on the scene.

"Sheemo! Thanks for bringing him here so fast!" said Ranger Eli as he stood up.

The Natu nodded as it teleported away.

Eli picked up the Shellder in his arms, walked up to the trainer, and greeted him, "Hey! I'm Ranger Eli and I'll be escorting you today. What's your name?"

OOC: Sorry for taking so long. I lost my internet connection for a few days. = (

OOC2: Oooh...Scent Sprays...You are missing Mystery Mist though. It scares away the natures that do like a specific scent.

Once moment I was tapping my foot while a Natu was standing on my light blond hair while getting some strands right in front of eye, but I decided to let it slide as I brushed them out of my red-brown eyes only to discover that my red-orange and yellow Blaziken and I were now right in front of another person, "Hey! I'm Ranger Eli and I'll be escorting you today," he introduced himself, wearing nothing all that impressive, "What's your name?"

"Hello," I responded, holding my hand, my overly-sized, midnight black leather jacket flapping in the wind somewhat, "My name is Victor, and I suppose that you're the one who's going to guide me, correct?"

Meanwhile, my Blaziken seemed to be looking at the scenery, but unlike most Fire-type Pokémon he's seems to be willing to actually deal with all the water, "Blaze! Blaziken ken!" it shouted, which caused me to chuckle before seeing Eli's Shellder.

"Is that one of the Pokémon, I can catch here?" I asked, attempting to fix my jacket and hair some more, but gave up due to the wind, "I sure hope I'm able to get some water types, I need them for the Rock- and Grass-Type Gyms." I couldn't help, but to chuckle a little bit before looking around to see all of the Pokémon surfing along the lakes, not paying attention to the waves and sand. On the other hand, I also notice that there were a few that might've been hiding. Seeing all of the Water-types around, I couldn't help, but to get excited and ask, unaware of how impatient I was sounding, "Well, let's get going!"

OOC 1: It's okay.
OOC 2: I thought I forgot one of the Sprays.
OOC 3: If you're keeping track of URPG$, I'm at $5K even.

Ranger Eli blinked a few times as he listened to the trainer, but he smiled at his enthusiasm. It had been a long time since he last saw an enthusiastic trainer.

Eli thought for a bit and said, "Well, in order: nice to meet you; correct, I'll be your guide, but you decide where to go; yes, you can find Shellder in this area; gathering water types to face a grass gym might not be the best idea; And, sure, let's go."

"Shellder?" said Eli's Shellder as she looked up to him.

"Oh, sorry girl," he said as he got her messege. He looked back at Victor and said, "This is Lilly. She will also aid during the expedition anyway she can. Now all that's left is for you to choose were to go. Maybe walk around on the sand, around the boulders over there, the corals, or maybe you'd like to take the row boat we always keep around?"

The Ranger looked at me with a smile on his face that seemed to mean that he was liking me, but when he mentioned that gathering Water-types for a Grass-type Gym wasn't exactly the best plan I couldn't help but to chuckle a little bit. "Hey, type isn't everything," I stated, "If you give a plant too much water, what happens? Everything comes in a very delicate balance, but I'm sure you already know that."

"Blaze! BLAAAAAZIIIIIIKEN!" my faithful companion shouted, sounded rather impatient and ready for a fight, which left me chuckling again a little bit as I turned to him.

"Don't worry, Blaziken," I told him, placing a hand on his back, "We're going to fight something soon, but you're going to scare them if you keep shouting." However, as I stated, I noticed that I was right as some of the Pokémon seemed to starting to rush away, scared from Blaziken's shouting, yet I could tell that Blaziken didn't mean to shout so loudly.

"Blaze…i…ken…" he stated, dropping his down, "Blaze…"

"It's okay," I comforted him, "It's okay, remember those small, colored bottles I bought before we came here?"

"Blaze?"

I pulled one of them and showed it to him, it was labeled "Sweet Sensation" Scent Spray, but I didn't use it as I slipped it back into my bag, "I got it in case we couldn't find any that we want." However, I turned my attention back to the Ranger with a chuckle, "I think we should get going, I think taking a walk on the sands would be pretty nice. Maybe I can get a Poli-something."

Ranger Eli nodded as he walked along with Victor towards the edges of the lake. There was sand everywhere and the wind was blowing towards the lake blowing some sand into the water.

Lilly had closed her shell to protect her eyes from any sand that might come in. The group walked for a bit until they found a big pile of sand. Ranger Eli signaled Victor to wait for a moment as a pile of sand that small wasn't normal. Suddenly, a strong gust of wind blew the sand from the pile away revealing a Mudkip hiding underneath.

"Oh, a Mudkip. Good for your first encounter," said Ranger Eli while he tried to shield his eyes from the sand.

I let out a little bit of a sigh when the little, light blue, mud fish-like Pokémon came out from the blown away sand, but told Blaziken to stay back as I reached for one of my other Balls that were around my waist. Unclipping it from the belt, I threw it into the air while shouting, "I chose you Arbok!" in a battle-like voice, and as the ball popped in the air, it released a red laser which soon came into the shape of the long, purple, cobra-like Pokémon Arbok.

"Char char charbok bok!" he shouted before noticing the Mudkip and turning to me, "Bok?"

"Alright, Charbok, this is one that I want to capture," I told him, "So do your best to tire it up, but don't make it faint! Alright, we're going to open things up with a little Fire Fang!"

"Char charbok!" was his answer as he seemed to be reaching inside of himself to build up fire before a spiral of red-orange flames started to grow around it's two main fangs before a smaller set grew around the rest of them. Once most of his teeth became surrounded by the flames, he started to charge in towards the Mudkip where…

Mudkip seemed rather sad that she was found. She took a few steps back, apparently wanting to run away when she saw an opponent appear. It was a very scary looking Arbok. Mudkip was now more upset than sad. She even kicked on the sand as she obviously didn't like the situation at all.

When she saw the incoming attack, she quickly noticed the fire and instinctively shot out a Water Gun directly into Arbok's mouth. Not only did the water douse the fire, but it stopped Arbok in his tracks and made him shoke on the water.

Arbok was now trying his best to cough out the water.

Ranger Eli took one step back and remained silent. Somewhat glad that Lilly's shell was closed at the moment.

"Arbok!" I shouted as the scared Mudkip shot water into his mouth before I started to rush towards his aid, "Come on, boy." I attempted to help him get out the rest of the water with one hand while checking for other damages, but I, luckily, didn't see any before looking at the Mudkip. However, it wasn't really thing to laugh about, which only made me want it more, but I knew better to attempt using Blaziken who would likely scare even more. On the other hand, if I sent my Mightyena in battle to use Swagger or something that would at least confuse the thing, I stood a chance of him not listening and attempting to do a full-blown attack. This was really leaving me in a bind…bind…warp?! That's it!

"Char…" it attempted to speak between coughs once it noticed the light bulb go off, "Arbok?"

"Listen, Arbok."

He coughed a few time before nodding, "Bok?"

"Listen, I know you're not doing too good," I told him to receive more coughing, "but I have an idea: use Poison Sting with your coughing."

"Charbok?" he asked with a slight tilting of the head before slowly nodding while uncoiling and getting ready to attack as I stepped out of the way. He stared at the Mudkip before his eyes turned big and he started to cough again, but this time he spat out several small, thin, poisoned items aimed right at the Mudkip.

Mudkip just stood there, waiting to see what was going to happen next. It soon noticed that Arbok was receiving some sort of command from the trainer, so it began preparing an attack. Arbok soon turned around and prepared his own attack as it focused both the Poison Sting with the cough. Suddenly, a blue sphere of energy appeared in front of Mudkip. The small Pokemon hit the sand with the sphere and it turned into a small wave that headed towards Arbok.

At that moment, Arbok finally coughed out the Poison Sting together with the last bit of water it swallowed. The Poison Sting headed with great speed towards the incoming wave and pierced right through it. Unfortunately for Mudkip, the wave made it impossible for it to see the Poison Sting coming, so the poisonous darts made their way through the wave and hit Mudkip directly. Mudkip rolled around in the sand as it got hurt.

However, that wasn't the only thing that happened. The wave also kept moving forward and hit Arbok directly as well. Both Pokemon shook off the attacks as Arbok awaited the next command.

Leaping out of the way of the water, I noticed that Arbok got hit with the wave of water, but luckily he wasn't choking on any of it. However, it was clear that he was a little tired, but still wanting to keep going in the battle to help catch the Mudkip. I didn't want to scare the little thing anymore than what I might already be, so I needed to use a slightly defensive move right now.

"Char?" he asked, turning towards me, "Bok bok? Char?" He really wanted to capture the little blue mud fish-like creature, but nothing really seem to my mind as I stood there, the wind making my jacket flap a little bit.

The wind? I asked myself, Wait, the wind is blowing… Looking around I saw that the wind were blowing towards their sides, which gave me an idea, "Arbok! I want you spit a wad of Acid into the air!"

"Charbok?" was his response, pointed to the sand that was blowing towards the ground, which seemed to get the cobra-like Pokémon's thought in sync with my own as it started to build up a wad of dark royal purple inside of it mouth while waiting for me to give the command.

"Alright, spit it out about 30 degrees to your left!" I shouted, making sure the wind was going to help it along, "but make sure the wind is able to catch it!"

"Chaaaaaaaaaaaarbok!" he shouted as he shot the wad of goo from his mouth and into the wind, where it was picked up by the wind and…

As Mudkip waited to see what Arbok's move would be, it began running around in circles and created several copies of itself. However, Arbok was already ready to counter attack that as he tilted his head to a side and shot out acid into the air. The wind quickly scattered the acid over Mudkip and its copies making them all disappear and hurting the real Mudkip.

The Acid was very uncomfortable for Mudkip as it burned a bit. Mudkip ran in a single circle and looked up, shooting a blue beam into the sky. Suddenly, grey clouds began gathering out of nowhere and it started to rain. The rain washed away the remaining Acid on Mudkip's skin.

I watched as the Mudkip use Double Team only to have the purple glob of Acid get rid of all of them vanish and even the real one get damage, bringing a smile to my face, but that soon changed as I watch the small blue thing shoot a light blue laser been into the sky above causing something to change the weather from bright and sunny to cold and rainy. Although I didn't have much a problem with it, it was clear that Blaziken, who was watching from the side, was starting to get a little annoyed with the blue thing for changing the weather, leaving it more useless that what it normally would've been, and that just seemed to leave it wanting to get piece of it. Luckily, I noticed that before he could do anything and unclipped his ball from my belt and returned him, a red laser shooting from my Pokéball to him and back without showing much trace that the Blaziken was even there. With that problem out of the way, I turned to the main one, dealing with the Mudkip, but now that it was raining, it was only to get more challenging as Arbok looked at me.

"Char, char, charbok, bok," it shouted, looking right at me with a worried expression, as though he was afraid that the Mudkip was going to faint still, "Bok?"

I knew that Arbok was trying his best not to harm her, but I could also tell that she had quite a bit of fight still in it before noticing that the rain was slowly changing the ground into a muddy playing field, "Arbok, scoop some of the mud with your tail and throw it at the Mudkip then come in close and do an Ice Fang!"

Arbok turned at me, I'm guessing to take sure that he heard correctly as I nodded. Pretty soon, the long, purple cobra was using its tail like an ice cream scooper to gather up a large ball of mud to shoot at the Mudkip, and, while the ball was in the air, he started to bring up something from inside of him that quickly formed ice crystals on his teeth. However, something that I forgot to notice, but seemed to be helping, at least for now, was that when the rain hit the teeth, they also froze, meaning that it could do more damage. Once the ball was far enough in the air and the cobra had enough ice on his fang, Arbok started to move towards the little blue thing, and I was sure that I had it…

Arbok was ready for his attack, holding the mud in his tail and having prepared himself for an Ice Fang. As Arbok rushed towards Mudkip, he flung the mud towards the small Pokemon who instantly created a barrier around itself. The mud hit the barrier and dropped to the floor making the barrier vanish at that moment.

When Mudkip looked up behind the mud, it noticed Arbok about to strike, but it was too late. Arbok delivered a chilling bite to Mudkip's side, creating a big lump of ice where the bite landed. Immediatelly after, Mudkip became furious as it looked up at Arbok and tapped him with is left paw. At that moment, a strong power came out of Mudkip's paw and hurt Arbok badly, sending him flying back. Arbok landed in front of Victor.

"You have to be careful with Pokemon like Mudkip. They can use Endeavor and even up the battle if you near them without caution," said Ranger Eli as he held Lilly, his Shellder, tightly. Lilly opened up from her shell to enjoy the rain at that moment.

As Arbok threw the ball, which got blocked by a barrier, and then did some heavy damage to the Mudkip, thanks to a charged up Ice Fang, I was starting to celebrate, but when the Mudkip placed her paw on Arbok only to radiate something that caused him to shoot backwards, landing right at my feet, I was horrified at the power the it had, "So that was Endeavor…" I muttered, "Alright, need to avoid that if possible, but how?"

"Char-ar-ar…" my poor Arbok moaned as it got back up and looked at me with an apologetic face, "Bok." His face seemed to show everything from the pain that was caused being blown backwards like he just was to the upset that he didn't seem to do anything until I noticed an ice wad on Mudkip's side, but that didn't mean that it was necessarily going to be easy catching it.

"Arbok," I said with a slight yell, while getting his ball removed from my belt, "Return!" I held it up and the purple cobra-like Pokémon was snagged by the ball's red laser and removed from the field, but I wasn't going to give up as I tossed up another ball. "Go, Blaziken!" I shouted as the large yellow and orange Pokémon returned to the field once again, "Blaziken, I want you calm down and focus, see that piece of ice on the Mudkip's side?"

It didn't take long for my first partner to figure out what I was thinking of doing as he let out a little bit of a shout, getting focus and ready to do fight, before running around for a little bit, waiting for me to tell him which move to use.

"Blaziken, I want you to use Sky Uppercut!" I shouted, throwing my fist in the air like I was him, "Right there on that lump of ice!"

Blaziken tried his best to focus on his target. The fire type Pokemon would normally be annoyed by the rain, but strangely, this one didn't seem to be intimidated by the weather nor the type advantage.

Quickly, Blaziken sprung forward towards Mudkip. Mudkip seemed really annoyed and fired a Water Gun straight at Blaziken. Blaziken leaned forward, avoiding some of the Water Gun as he prepared to launch his attack. However, an attack from bellow was very hard perform on a Pokemon that's on the ground, so while Blaziken looked for an opening, it got hit with the Water Gun. Blaziken shouted as the attack seemed to hurt, especially in the rain. However, Blaziken bravely pushed forward through the Water Gun, neared Mudkip's side and jabbed upwards on that frozen spot.

The ice shattered with that force as Mudkip was also sent spinning sideways. As Mudkip landed, it seemed rather motionless. It barely struggled to get up. That hit was right on target it seemed.

"This is your chance! Go for it!" said Ranger Eli.

"Shellder!" cheered Lilly as she also knew this was almost over.
