I looked up on the billboard, searching for my assignments when I saw that I had only one today. I studied the trainer's name, Bob Miller, it seemed like a normal enough name. I walked back to the Trainer's Station where I awaited Bob. I looked in the mirror to make sure my hair wasn't a mess, and I glared at the shiny, crimson red jacket that I wore as my uniform. I had only worn it once before, but that was a training run, this was my first, full time job as an official Park Ranger.

I looked through the crowd and saw a tall man, about 5'9" with short, brown hair, brown eyes, and was wearing a dark grey fleece jacket. I walked towards him and tried to talk to him.

"Hello sir, are you Bob Miller?" I said looking at him, realizing he looked older then me by a couple of years." If so, I am Owen, your Park Ranger for your trip!" I said, smiling.

I stared blankly into space while seated on the cozy couch in the waiting room. I was rather anxious about who would take me through- would it be the ranger who had previously taken me through? As I hard my name called, I realized that it was not- the voice belonged to a male. I stood up, and the ranger walked towards me, nodding at me once he got to me. "Hello sir, are you Bob Miller?" he inquired, and I noticed that he was rather young for a Ranger, but shrugged this off- if he was a Ranger, he must be good at his job! "If so, I am Owen, your Park Ranger for the trip!" he said with a wide grin on his face.

I smiled back at him. "Yeah, that's me. I'm about ready to go, how about you?"

" I'm fine, thank you, now we must be going." I said, hoping to get to the fighting as soon as possible.

I walked us out of the station and into the white, cold tundra. The wind howled and shaped the snow into little mounds. Ahead you could see a path, covered by only a few patches of snow, as it seemed to be just shoveled off a few hours ago. We walked down the path and came upon the base of the mountain where there seemed to be a cave, where you could hear scraping of ice. A shadow started flying towards us and I pushed us out of the way of a giant walrus pokemon that was rolling out of the cave. It stopped when it came out of the cave, and looked at us, seeming to say: What are you doing here?

"Hmm, Walrien is a great pokemon to start out with, you must be lucky!" I commented." Will you try for it?" I asked

My ranger opened the door to the outside world, and we were instantly blasted with a rush of cold air. I zipped up my fleece jacket, and followed my ranger down a path, approximately 4 feet wide, that led towards a large snowy mountain. The mountain reached up into the sky, becoming more covered by snow as it went on. My mind wandered to random things as I silently followed the ranger down the path, the mountain becoming larger as we neared it. It also became colder as we neared the mountain- and I realized that I really should've worn warmer clothes!

Without any warning, my ranger stopped walking, and I stopped behind him, snapped out of my thoughts. He was looking intently at a dark cave set in the base of the mountain, and so I directed my attention to the cave, which was about 50 feet from us. A noise that sounded like a snow shovel scraping against pavement came out of the cave, and from out of the deep dark depths of the cave came a large blue creature. Long, pointy fangs jutted from its mouth, and its yellow eyes stared wildly at us. It seemed rather angry at us- were we on its land?

My ranger stared in awe at it. "Hmm, Walrein is a great Pokemon to start out with, you must be lucky!" he said, and I could hear the enthusiasm in his voice. "Will you try for it?" he asked, taking a glance back at me.

"Hmm," I said, looking at the angry walrus. "I don't think so, I'm not really interested in it..." I said, taking a quick glance over my shoulder. "Why don't we just walk around the base of the mountain? Hopefully Walrein won't think our retreat is menacing towards it..."

OOC: Very sorry for posting late, have been extremely busy and tired.

After passing on the chance of capturing the Walrien we walked around the fairly snowy base of the mountain, while the Large Walrus Pokemon seemed to follow us for a while and then dissapear into the distance. As we walked around, the conditions varied, from clear to almost white out. as we came upon 2 mounds of snow, maybe 2 meters high right near eachother, I looked inbetween them and saw a small, pink and yellow child. It was facing the steep wall of the mountain in front of it and looked like it was rolling snow into balls, then freezing them with a small Aurora Beam. I Looked around the area. The snow about 10 cm deep, the wind seemed calm, and all around us looked like a barren wasteland, nothing in sight but a few trees and flat, sometimes hilly snow. The Smoochum seemed to not notice us, even though we were making a little noise.

"Look at it, it's soo cute." I remarked quietly to Bob.

My ranger led me away from the creature that was obviously not to happy to see us intruding on its land. I followed him obediently down a path, occasionally glancing back to see that yes, the giant walrus continued to follow us. Eventually, it gave up, and disappeared back into the vast whiteness. I shivered often as we continued walking- my ranger was silent, and so was I. The whole time, I looked around, but could see no Pokemon; apparently it was too nasty out even for the Pokemon that lived here! But, it wasn't long before we stopped, near a few mounds of snow, where my ranger stared at a small creature.

It was about the size of a toddler, with pink skin that was a color one would expect to see on a crayon. Atop its head was blond hair, in a bowlcut, save for a tuft of hair that stuck up at the top. The small Smoochum was sitting near the rocky side of the mountain, rolling up tiny balls of snow which it played with constantly. "Look at it, it is so cute!" my ranger said softly, trying not to disturb the baby Pokemon.

"Aww," I replied, looking at the small Pokemon. "It is rather cute, I agree. I'm not really interested in it though; let's just leave it be," I continued, turning around to survey the area while I waited for my ranger to take us on our way.

Bob agreed with me about the Smoochum being quite cute and I decided that we should go to the front of the mountain with the trail so we can move up the mountain.

As we walked the snow seemed to be quite deep and it seemed no one has been here to shovel it off. I stepped in the snow, about 1/2 a meter deep, about up halfway to my butt, I shiverd a bit, but was thankful I wore my snowpants. When we came upon the trail and there seemed to be a small trail, looking like a medium sized snowball was rolled across the snow, and as I followed the trail with my eyes I saw a small hole in the snow where you could see a blue head with eyes sticking out of the snow watching us, then dipping back into the snow when it saw me looking back at it.

"Only a trail like that could have been left by a Spheal, and they're blue too so I guess that's a Spheal for you!" I figured, then smiled.

IC: My ranger acknowledged that I didn't want to catch the small pink Pokemon, and silently led me on my way. As we walked , I noticed that the path we walked on, before long, was no longer a path! The snow kept getting deeper and deeper as we went along- luckily for me, my ranger led the way, so I could still step in his footprints, but even still, the snow reached about to my mid-thigh, and I could feel the wetness penetrating my shoes.

It wasn't long after the snow started to get deep that we saw a Pokemon- or what my ranger explained to me was a Pokemon. He pointed at a snowball, about average size, that was being pushed through the snow. From behind the snowball, I could see a tiny blue head occasionally poking up in order to get a quick glance at us. "Only a trail like that could have been left by a Spheal, and they're blue too so I guess that's a Spheal for you!" My ranger remarked cheerfully. I chuckled.

"Yeah, but like I said earlier, I'm not really super interested in a Walrein," I told my ranger with a sigh. "Hopefully it won't be too long before we run into something neat, you know?"

As we walked up the, now visible, path I heard some footsteps behind us. The snow was only in a thin blanket not, almost translusent, and the snow fell very lightly, but in small clumps of a few snowflakes. I quicly jumped forward and turned, seeing a small blue, muscular Pokemon that looked like a large 6 year old.

"Machop!" It spoke towards us.

"It looks like this Machop is friendly, what does it want?" I asked myself.

It seemed that there was no problem however and the small, humanoid pokemon walked past us as we continued to walk along this path.

"Close one, eh?" I joked

My ranger led us away from the cute seal, and gradually, the snow became less deep, until it was just a light powdering on a path. I brushed the snow off of my pants, and looked up, to see my ranger staring at a small Pokemon. It looked, more or less, like a kindergartner! Except for the fact that it was blue, and it was rather muscular, even for its small size. "Machop!" it said cheerfully as it walked by us.

"It looks like this Machop is friendly, what does it want?" my ranger said to no one in particular, and I followed the Pokemon with my eyes as it walked away from us. The creature didn't seem to be too interested in us though, so my ranger spoke to me. "Close one, eh?" he said jokingly. I smiled back at him.

I looked along the path, but unfortunately for me, I couldn't see very far up the path, as I couldn't really discern much from the snow that surrounded the path. "Just wondering, but where will this path take us?" I asked my ranger, hoping that it would lead us to rare Pokemon.

Ranger Ash Dalca

Due to an emergency back home, Bob Miller’s Ranger was forced to suddenly take leave and was hastily replaced by the Ranger Ash Dalca. “Good afternoon, Bob Miller,” Ash said, holding out his hand for his new Trainer to shake. “I am Ash Dalca and this here is my good friend, Glace.” Besides him a Glaceon looked up at Bob, narrowing his eyes. “How about we just continue down the path and see what we come up with?”

Not far down the path, just a few yards or so, a trio of Pokemon appeared. The two ring-leaders seemed to be bossing the smaller, rounder one around, kicking it like a soccer ball. Ash frowned. “Those Machop don’t seem very nice,” he muttered angrily. “That Spheal looks like its being beaten up pretty badly.” He stepped over to the Pokemon just as the two Machop jumped out of the way, glaring at Ash.

“Unless you want to catch one of these three, I suggest we just break it up here and continue on with your visit here.”

Although my previous ranger had some sort of emergency to attend to, luckily for me, the Park had provided me with a new ranger. "Good afternoon, Bob Miller," he said, holding out his hand so I could shake it. I nodded at him while I shook his hand. “I am Ash Dalca and this here is my good friend, Glace,” he said, glancing down to his side, where a small canine peered up at me. Its skin was a cold blue, even paler than the blue of the sky. "How about we just continue down the path and see what we come up with?" he asked pleasantly. I nodded, and he began to led the way along the path with his faithful Pokemon beside him.

It wasn't long before we saw Pokemon- three of them, to be exact. Two of them were Machop, like the one I had seen before. The other, who seemed to be being bullied by the Machop, was a Spheal, but the look on its face was not one of joy like the one I had seen before. My ranger stepped in to intervene. "That Spheal looks like its being beaten up pretty badly," he said, the two bullies giving him a mean look as my ranger turned to me. “Unless you want to catch one of these three, I suggest we just break it up here and continue on with your visit here,” he said firmly.

"I think I'll have to pass on these guys, I already saw a Machop and a Spheal earlier and wasn't too interested," I replied. "Hopefully, after we leave they'll leave that poor Spheal alone- the poor thing looks really miserable!" I said, trying to make conversation.

Ranger Ash Dalca

After scolding the Machop about rough play, Ash and Bob went along down the path. It was starting to get more steep as they walked and more icy. The ground itself soon had a layer of slick ice on it and Ash had to turn his shoes in for snow shoes. He handed a pair to Bob Miller, just to be polite and to do his job.

After they were ready to continue again, they heard a rumbling sound deep in the cave. The path veered off at that point and they were left with a forked road. “Do you want to check that out?” Ash asked. The rumbling path looked much more treacherous then the normal one with its scattered rocks and stalagmites. Whatever Pokemon that hid back there had to be a powerful one.

My ranger handed me a pair of snowshoes, which would definitely help- the ground was becoming very slippery, and ahead of us I could see that the path was treacherous. My eyes followed the path in front of us, which lead directly to the mouth of a cave- and from that cave uttered a deep rumble, which shook the ground around us. Rocks fell out of the cave, and down the path. "Do you want to check that out?" my ranger asked.

"Yeah, let's do that," I said, reaching for my backpack. "Though, I think I'll let my Togekiss out, just to be safe- we don't know what we'll find in there!" I finished, grabbing the ball of my faithful bird Pokemon. I pressed the button, and the red form of the dove materialized in front of me. She shivered, and looked back and forth between me and my ranger.

Ranger Ash Dalca

After allowing his Togekiss to spread her thick wings, the pair continued down the dangerous path. The icy path seemed to get more and more narrow as they walked, slowly as to not slip. The path suddenly opened up into a large, snowy field. That’s when they finally reached the creature that was making the rumbling noise. Ash froze.

“I don’t suppose you have a camera?” he asked quietly.

Standing in front of the pair was the Colossal Pokemon, Regigigas. There was no way that even the most trained of Bob or Ash’s Pokemon could take that thing down or even try to damage it. Already Ash’s Glaceon was setting up a Barrier move to attempt to block any sudden attacks. It seemed as if Regigigas was just waking up from some sort of slumber and was looking at the pair and their Pokemon sleepily.
