With each Pokemon I traded over to my Diamond back in 2007, everyday I made sure all 6 had a Dive Ball with them. I ended up with over 300 Dive Balls by the end of it.

I loved catching Pokemon with them. I also loved attaching them as a gift when using GTS.

I love the Dive Ball, probably because blue is one of my favourite colours and I love Water-type Pokemon. But I pretty much love all of the Pokeballs; they're all neat in their own ways! :)

I like the Dusk Ball because it looks really cool, the Repeat ball for trying to catch and re-catch Pokemon with a specific nature/item/gender/etc/, and the Apricorn Balls because there are a lot of them and they're free c:

Recently I like using the Net Ball, because using the move Soak turns all Pokemon into the Water type, thus making it useful for nearly every Pokemon.

All of them except the Timer Ball, because that's just ridiculous.

I like the Luxury ball. It makes Pokemon caught by it friendlier. I don't have to work as hard to evolve a friendship evolved Pokemon.

In other games, I would try to use the different balls to utilize their function too, but also if the ball matched a color or gender (heal ball for the females) of the Pokemon.
