In the Presence of God
Almost four years after the release of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, Arceus still remains virtually absent from the competetive side of the game. With only a single event in a single country, the vast majority of Arceus are hacked and as such usually remain illegal in wifi battles. With only a very limited time before the introduction of 5th Gen, I thought it would be interesting to find out how potent Arceus would have been if it had been introduced earlier into 4th gen's four year stint.
Rules
1. This tournament will be staged on the
Pokémon Online battle simulator.
Pokémon Online is a competetive battle simulator similar to Shoddy Battle. All relevant areas of a Pokémon are fully customisable; EVs, IVs, nature, moveset etc. However what sets it apart from Shoddy is that it keeps more up to date with event pokemon as-and-when they are released. Specifically, players can replicate the Lvl 100 Arceus given away in an American event, with its accompanying EV restrictions (Being Lvl 100, the only way of EV training Arceus would be with vitamins. Thus each stat can only have a maximum of 100 EVs). While Shoddy has the Extended Clause to allow Arceus, the EV caps are not present.
Pokemon Online can be downloaded
here. It runs on Mac, Windows and Linux.
2. Battles will be fought on the Beta Server
3. This is an Ubers tournament. No Pokemon are banned.
4. Standard clauses are in effect;
-Species Clause
-Sleep Clause
-Evasion Clause
-OHKO Clause
