Complete Story Mode (Subspace Emissary) and then complete Classic Mode.

OR

Complete Story Mode (Subspace Emissary) and then 400 VS Brawls.

Ok i need help with the subspace emissary because i am at the part where you have to beat all of the shadows of the real brawlers but then it keeps going back to the beggining.

Do you know why this is happening?

Whenever you beat someone, you continue on, you've unlocked them and you go unlock more people and beat up other people until you get to Tabuu

Or when you complete the Subspace Emissary he is found behind a hidden door in "The Forest".
