Default Isshu Geography

Isshu is designed to look like New York City's metropolitan area but it looks nothing like its geography. Other regions in the Pokemon world are modeled after Japan, but Isshu isn't geographically close to matching New York City.

Reason for that is to give the players the common feel and creature comforts of a pokémon game while modeling the key city after manhattan. Also if the city were modeled after the true Manhattan it would take over the majority of the region.

So... I was right! I'm sorry, I don't do too much Pokémon research since junior year's settled in. I'm trying to, but I'm just too busy... I'm still the world's number one obsessed. I refuse to put down that title. ;D

I made a hypothesis when Hiun City was first announced and mentioned to be "the first glimpse of the Isshu region." My connection to that is that for millions immigrants in American history, the Statue of Liberty right outside of NYC was the first thing they saw of America.
