[Etymology]

Just checking in, been doing some more 5th Gen battles recently.

Oh, and I have something to propose to you all later, I got offered an interesting concept whilst battling last night.

Definitely not a worry for me. IMO, MixApe has always been terribly overrated as a wallbreaker and any good stall team carries a counter for it... in gen 4 it was Vaporeon, Tentacruel and (I suppose) RestTalk Gyarados. So I can safely say that this gen 5 should suit me. :P

2 word for gyra stone edge + vappy is not fond of CC to the face also ape gets t-punch so yea while people do favor g-knot t-punch may see more usage this gen.

Please provide a brief summary of why you wish to join: Hot damn! A bright and cheery clan! Seems like the best clan by which I can ease back into the competitive meta-game.

To put it bluntly, I've been out of sync with the competetive battling scene for a while, so I hope it's still ok for me to join and catch up with everything

The standard for MixApe in gen 4 was special based, which generally does not include Stone Edge, but there are some cases which is why I said "I suppose" before Gyara.

CLose Combat is more often than not a 3HKO on Vaporeon, and is ALWAYS a 3HKO from the special based set.That means it can take a hit can Surf in return. You say that Vappy is not very fond of a CC to the face, but Infernape definitely can't handle a Surf to the face. Suicune gives the physical based set quite a hard time, just to throw that into the mix. Thunderpunch Infernape gets beaten very easily by Swampert, so I'm not sure if that's a great idea. All in all, the popular bulky waters do seem to take care of MixApe well enough.

Trust me on this, I've run many stall teams before and MixApe has never before been a red alert on my threat list.

Okay, so what I was going to propose. I got offered for the clan to take part in a tourney, where more clans are entering. There's a forum there. I haven't checked it out yet, but would you all be interested in such a tournament if it did happen? I'm assuming it'll be a bit like WAR, but I'm not sure yet. I'll keep you posted.

I'd be more than happy to go for that, it just depends how soon it is what with my team being out of date and what-not.

@smoo there's a number of ppl already on gen 5 i've acctually started having trouble finding gen 4 battles of late unfortunately (admitedly i spend alot of time on the gen 5 ladder).

I'm not sure, some still play 4th gen and others play 5th gen. I'm primarily 5th gen, but I'll play 4th gen if needs be.

Looks like I'll have to sort out my Pokemon Black's Wi-Fi at some point, and fix the pokemon transfer thing. Unless of course, people are playing 5th gen on Simulators?

Pokemon online does have the gen 5 pokes already.

I will be downloading PO maybe sometime next week, i have requested a clan banner from Crystal-Wolf's shop honestly i could of done it myself but i wanted to see his work next week i'll post the banner i made and the banner he made.
Also i like the members sprite how did you get the moving ones?
