Ash's Age

You know the other day I was checking out Pokemon Best Wishes. Unlike a lot of people I loved Ash's new clothes (no homo). Anyway, I also saw his age. Dude is 10 years old I thought you go on your Pokemon journey when your 12. But we have a 10 year old running all over the world beating people almost four times his age. I think we have seen the end of the world.

You have to remember, he's still in a coma.

Yeah he has been in a coma since the first or second episode. Now i've never been in acoma but in his coma dream world he never ages.

I look at it as his age being 15 because Ash has traveled to 5 different regions (this includes Isshu/Unova).

Well, there are at least three instances when Ash ages in the anime, and those are the revisiting of Viridian City, the Pichu Bros. short, and the episode from the Sinnoh Saga that never aired in the US that reviewed all of the episodes to a certain point (I believe about halfway) saying it had been a year since they began.

But I'm going to have to go with 16 by the end of Sinnoh, assuming Sinnoh did take two years. Remember; he's also been to Orange Islands, and revisited Kanto for the Battle Frontier, which I believe is safe to assume each took less than a year. ;]

Let's look at it like this:
If each episode is about a day in the life of Ash, and there are about 671 episodes (695 including specials) + the movies which could be anywhere from 2-5 days (assuming there are 365 days in a Poke-year) That's about two years of Ash's journey and since we don't know Ash's birthday he could be anywhere from 12 to 13 years as of the release of season 14.
