Pokeball question - Pokemon Forum

I threw a Repeat Ball to catch a Komatana, and when I threw it, it was accompanied by a wierd sound effect, and only rolled once before it was captured.

I have not been able to replicate this. What happened?

...perhaps the Repeat Ball doesn't repeat everything.

EDIT: Yeah, I didn't actually know.

Critical capture. Same thing as a critical hit, but for throwing Pokeballs. Dramatically increases the chance for capture, if not guarantees it. Pretty sweet, imo.

Possibly a bit of both. All I know is that is happens randomly, and is used when you capture Dream World Pokemon, since you can't battle them.
