That would be an excellent idea... if the windows weren't 10 feet off the ground.

You suppose you could try using one of the workstations or the computer terminal to boost yourself up. But even then, you'd be just barely able to reach the windows. And there are shards of broken glass all around the window ledges. You'd likely cut your hands pretty badly unless you had some sort of protection.

Glass shards are pretty sharp. You know quite well. After all, you used one once to shank that one creep getting a little too "up close and personal." He was in the hospital for a week. You have sick shanking skills.

At least the windows are large enough to fit through without any trouble, assuming you didn't cut yourself on any of the jagged glass edges sticking out.

You could try using the bookshelf as a makeshift ladder. It's high enough to put you about level to one of glass windows. You're not sure how sturdy the bookcase is though.

> See if there's a Pokedex lying around. You'll need one.

Oh yep, there's one. HoloOak's holding it.

> Find out how this place got in it's current state of ruin...Other than HoloOak. He's glitched up.

Poor holoOak. He's just not looking too hot these days. It's probably the age that's getting to him. Unlike Ash Ketchum. That boy's been 11-years-old for fifteen years. And he'll forever be 11 for decades to come. That's actually kind of creepy... like a vampire.

Ash x Bella forever.

Other than this half-ruined laboratory, you haven't seen much else. This place might have once been inhabited, you surmise, since it has restrooms. On the other hand, if that's the case, no one has been here in a very long time. Or, at the very least, hadn't bothered to repair anything. It's amazing holoOak even works at all.

There just are too many unanswered questions.

> Make plans to Train Oscar and Catch more Pokemon.

"Oscar," you begin, placing a hand on his head. "I'm going to train you into beast."

Oscar nods excitedly. He's so ready to be a beast. He's been dreaming of that his entire life, all 15 minutes of it so far. He's going to be so big and ferocious, that rocks would quiver at his sight! And then you'll finally be proud of him!

You pat his head and smile. Training him will be easy... if you could find him something to battle. You haven't seen another living creature in all of the time you've been here.

As for catching more Pokemon... you don't have any extra pokeballs. Well, save the GS ball. But who knows if that's already being used or not. More importantly, would you really waste a rare pokeball on any old Bidoof?

No, you're going to need more pokeballs to catch more Pokemon.

> Make Plans to get home! With this new world jam-packed with cute creatures of mass destruction, you're better off living in the reality where they don't exist.

You've watched this show before. What was it called?

Oh right, Digimon.

That didn't seem like a terrible place, though it might be nice to have someone to talk with like you do back home. You don't exactly speak Pokemon and you're not entirely sure if that's possible. It's not like you have a talking Meowth to show you the ropes.

Besides, the Digimon kids wanted to go home too. They eventually succeeded and moved on with their lives.

Yes home. Good idea... wherever that is.

> Leave the HoloOak be. He's all glitched up. And besides, show him the GS ball, and He'll take it! This place is abandoned anyways. Lie to him about the package being delivered.
> Give holoOak his parcel before he disappears.

Oh geeze, the voices. They are arguing! Why are they arguing!?

Of course he'd take the GS Ball. The package is meant for him after all.

But he does have that Pokedex, and that might be really useful later on. But then again, so could the GS Ball. Oh man, this is a tough decision.

And holoOak is fading fast. Looks like you don't have much time left to decide!

Leave with the GS Ball as I have a photographic memory of the Pokemon, and I'll be able to recognise them without a Pokedex.

> Strongly consider that it might be a better idea to hand over the GS Ball in exchange for the Pokedex.

Two main reasons.

1.) Completing the Pokedex - that's how you truly complete the game. Remember Jumangi? Yeah, the only way to get back to "reality" was to finish the game. If all else fails, it's possible that this is your ticket home.

2.) As good as your memory is, there's bound to be things you've forgotten about Pokemon. Once redundant pieces of fictional lore may now be very useful in your survival.

Those two are both very fail and, thus, deserve eachother. I support this.

<_Consider using the GS ball on one of the dimension trio (Dialga, Palkia, Giratina) or Arceus to use their powers of warping reality to get home. Heck, here, Arecus is God. God bypasses everything.

Besides, your such a Pokemaniac that you remember just about everything about a Pokemon, including that weird Firered entry for Kadabra (The one that said a boy woke up as one). Plus, there could be other opportunities to get a Pokedex, there's only ONE GS Ball.

<_Use the rocks to shatter the glass shards out of the way of the window, then use the bookcase to get out. Be quick about using the bookcase, though. You don't want it breaking while your on it.

If you're dead set on keeping the GS Ball....

> Try putting a couple of rocks in the empty parcel box / wrappings to compensate for weight, reseal it (or attempt to make it look as it did the best you can), and try to pass it off as the original package. =P

That way you might end up with both, depending on how complaint the hologram is. HoloOak doesn't seem too "with it" due to the glitching, so it could work.

Re-consider wasting the rocks on the window, and use them for the aforementioned package plan to try and get the Pokedex as well.

ask the other voices if they want to grab some pizza after they are done with this stuff, before totally agreeing with the rock idea.

Your mother always told you not to steal other people's mail. But did you listen?

Apparently not.

She's always yelling at you for one thing or another.

"Ainslee, wash the dishes. Ainslee, feed the cat. Ainslee, stop stealing the neighbor's mail. Ainslee, stop shanking drug dealers. Ainslee, do your homework. Ainslee, stop drinking all my coffee."

Nag, nag, nag.

But this is an emergency and you're not even sure holoOak is real. You're not even sure where the parcel came from, much less these rocks. Rocks are weird.

Good thing you're ridding yourself of them with this parcel scheme.

You quickly dash over to one of the lab workbenches, setting down the opened parcel box upon the table. You pull out four rocks and stuff them into the packaging foam, fitting them carefully so that none of the edges stick out. Grabbing the scotch tape from the table, you start wrapping the entire package over and over. You don't even cut the tape. You just use one, long piece to secure the parcel until it is completely re-wrapped.

You receive Mangled Oak's Parcel!
You gain 1 level in Gift Wrapping!
You are now 4/100 in Gift Wrapping!

You rush back to holoOak with the Mangled Oak's Parcel.

"Oak!" you shout, energized by all the wrapping and running. "I have your parcel!"

"Ah, thank you Ash," replies holoOak, who is barely recognizable, his visage looking increasingly like a random combination of black and white pixels. What might have been a hand reaches out and plucks the package from your grip. "I was expe*127#%%%%~checksum."

His other "hand" extends towards you, holding a mass of pixels. You hesitate for a moment, then grab the item. As it leaves holoOak's grasp, the pixels seem to quiver and then transform into familiar shades of red, blue, grey. It feels absolutely weird, like your foot falling asleep, but in this case, the feeling is coming from the object you're holding.

The pixels slowly settle down, revealing what appears to be a rectangular red and blue Pokedex. Sort of like what you've seen on the anime... but real.

"ERROR ERROR *7AG#@ytw_14_14f;as" continues holoOak, his form now a blob of pixels flailing about. You back away cautiously.

Suddenly, the figure simply stops, and the pixels collapse, falling like drops of rain, than shattering upon hitting the floor. In seconds, holoOak dissolves into nothingness.

The computer terminal beeps twice. You hear a small explosion and the terminal stops. The smell of burnt circuitry fill the air.

That was freaky.

You received the Pokedex!

Inventory

One (1) Video Camera (1993 model) - Equipped
Two (2) Packages of Instant Coffee (Folgers)
One (1) Used Pokeball (Oscar's)
One (1) Pair of Running Shoes - Equipped
One (1) GS Ball
One (1) Pokedex

> Check to see if the GS ball is used.

Well, you know of only one way to find out.

"Go GS Ball!" you yell, throwing the sphere on the floor.

It bounces lamely off the cement, then rolls a few feet before coming to a stop.

If there is a Pokemon in there, it's not coming out.

Oscar looks at you curiously. Why did you throw a Pokeball and why did nothing happen?

Good question, Oscar. Good question.

> Use the rocks to shatter the glass shards out of the way of the window, then use the bookcase to get out. Be quick about using the bookcase, though. You don't want it breaking while your on it.

Excellent idea. You pull out your rocks from your...

Oh wait, you used them in the Mangled Oak's Parcel. And since they disintegrated with holoOak, it looks like this plan is busted.

You wonder briefly if the rocks were transported to the Digital World since they were the DigiDestined. Rocks are weird like that.

Also, since you're so good at "shanking," maybe you should find a weapon for yourself incase the need to physically protect yourself arises? You have access to tape; maybe you could use that to make a handle for a shard of sharp metal lying around. So....

> Create makeshift stabbing tool.

Oh, and, you're probably going to get hungry at some point. You have coffee, and Mudkip can always make water, but you have no food. So....

> Search for food to take with you / a vending machine to break into, etc.

> As you do the previous, keep an eye out for any useful items. Pokeballs, Potions, etc.
