Is it just me, or was that Gym battle WAY too easy...
Okay, so I just beat Skyla (I OHKO'd all her Mons) and my bud Chad was telling me that Skyla was the hardest for him, but she was a walk in the park for my Boldore and Zebstrika.
So which Gyms were the easiest/hardest/weirdest/interestingest for you?

To be honest, this game is a lot harder than the previous Pokemon games, and I just think it is because I still haven't found a "perfect" team yet.

Re: Is it just me, or was that Gym battle WAY too easy...
I OHKO'd every single Gym Leader and E4's poke except for the first Gym thanks to my severely overpowered and over-leveled Scrafty. He obviously wasn't over-leveled by the time I got to the First Gym but he was by the time I got to everyone else. xD

Re: Is it just me, or was that Gym battle WAY too easy...
None of the gyms gave me trouble this time around. My team was prepared for each of them after the previous play-throughs. The Elite Four were a different story. My Pokemon were a bit under-levelled, but I managed to beat them all with just Zoroark, Emboar, and Victini once I was able to match their levels.

The only difficult gym leader was Burgh.
My Dewott was so weak at that moment.
BUT I PWNED THE NEXT GYM LEADER FOR SOME REASON.

They're a bit easier, but that could be from relentlessly grinding before each gym battle. Even when the gym leaders use their Hyper Potions and so on, it does virtually nothing to help their already bleak situation.

The solution to all of your problems: Don't kill Audinos.

SAME HERE! I think it was because I didn't have a stable Fire- or Flying-type at that time; my Woobat was so weak it was disgustingly pitiful.

Hm. I think Cilan was the hardest for me, but only because there were no good places to train that early in the game. After that, though, Elesa was kind of difficult, thanks to her part Flying type =P Still, I beat everyone fairly easily.

Skyla and Brycen were pretty easy for me, thanks to my Excadrill and Emboar!

Re: Is it just me, or was that Gym battle WAY too easy...
Frankly, I think defeating Skyla (or any other gym leader, for that matter) depends on what Pokémon you have on your team, and what level they're in. If you didn't train your Pokémon enough, then yeah, the battle against the gym leaders won't be easy! xD
The hardest gym for me would have to be the Icirrus City gym. Serperior was the only Pokémon I had that was good enough for battling at that time, and since the gym leader tend to use Ice type Pokémon, a type that's super-effective against Serperior, it took a long time for me to defeat him.

Re: Is it just me, or was that Gym battle WAY too easy...
Skyla was easy thanks to my Zebstrika. But my Gothitelle replaced her and Gothi took down Drayden's team in like one to two hits each. I thought that Cress was the hardest, since to me, you don't really have a lot of trainers to fight for the EXP points and Wild Pokemon battles really annoy me.

Re: Is it just me, or was that Gym battle WAY too easy...
Because Pokemon is way too easy and I like a challenge, in addition to my Nuzlocke challenges I make a rule to never knowingly use a Pokemon with a type advantage over its opponent (first mon is fine as long as it's not a gym). And yet, I still utterly ruined Brycen thanks to my awesometastical Muttstache (my personal nickname for Stoutlands everywhere) Anya. As for hardest... DRAYDEEEEEEN! The Dragon jerk wiped out half my team, and I broke my own rule just to make him suffer. And then I lost my Vanillluxe too. I was sadden.

I haven't played any game since Gold/Silver on my GBC, and I gotta say the gyms are a lot easier than I remember!!!

Re: Is it just me, or was that Gym battle WAY too easy...
The only gym leader I had trouble with was Drayden, mainly because I didn't have a mon on my team that could tackle dragon types. Quetzal (my Serperior) managed to hold his own against them, but when you have no elixirs, it gets tiring having to get out of there and go to the Pokecenter.
I ALSO HAD ISSUES WITH THE FIRST GYM BUT I WAS BEING A RETARD WITH BIDE WHILE HIS LILLIPUP POWERED UP LOL.
But otherwise, the game itself has been really hard compared to past gens. There's a 20 level jump after the E4, too. @_@;
