Emolgas are a renewable resource that is much easier to harvest in large quantities than our primary fuel sources. They are not territorial, require relatively little food or water, and have a very high reproductive rate (that only increases with population density and general unhappiness due to poor living conditions), making the initiation and maintenance of numerous city-sized Emolga farms highly efficient. Although it is not likely that they will replace traditional nuclear fuels in the near future, Emolgas are an effective supplement for technological civilizations that are looking to reduce their reliance on non-renewable resources. Really, we should have started research into this ages ago.
