Signature Move: Overhead Throw
Description: During this move, Mankey will move towards the opponent. At this point, its head is at the 12 o clock position. It leaps int the air and begins to do a front flip. When it gets half way through the flip, its head at the 6 o clock position, it uses its arm to grab the opponent by the head or shoulders, or whatever happens to be on top of the Pokemon. It continues in its front flip, now taking the opponent with it. The opponent swings as Mankey is flipping foreward. Once it comes all the way around and back into the 12 o clock position, it throws the opponent to the ground. For any Mortal Kombat fans, its the same throw that Kung Lao performs.
Type: Fighting Type
Base Power: 80BP
Accuracy:90%
Classification: Physical
Energy Modifier:18% (This move is on the acrobatic side so if the energy modifier should be increased it can be.)
Effects: None.
Usage Gap: If it hits, it can only be used after two turns. During this time, the speed stat is reduced one stage. After the two turns has past, the move can be used again and the speed stat is restored. If it misses, due to landing on the ground upside down, damage is sustained by 1/8 of what the total damage would have been.

To begin the bout, Axew threw its small paws up, generating a large green circular force field, protecting the Dragon type from harm. Mankey decided to try its luck anyways, and let out a ear splitting screech, which generated shock waves that ripped through the water and collided with Axew's field. Sadly, nothing happened as the waves dissipated, for the field was impenetrable.

Axew's Protect wore off and both Pokémon took to improving themselves. Axew began to dance around violently. Its body glowed red in response and the ground beneath it began to send out small, neon blue sparks, signaling an increase in Axew's power. Mankey, on the other hand, took a more defensive and simplier route, flexing its arms quickly, which caused it to be surrounded by a bright magenta aura.

Neither battler was confident enough to go head-to-head just yet. Instead of this, they focused on making themselves stronger for the battle ahead. La Tormenta, who was now faster than before, started to do a strange dance, which allowed blood to flow to his quickly moving muscles. A red aura enveloped the dancing dragon as the muscles became stronger and he became quicker and more agile. The red aura slowly died away and the Axew’s frantic splashes ceased; he felt much more powerful than before – he was ready to attack.

Meanwhile, Happie was also covered in a strange red aura although he wasn’t dancing like his opponent. He was crouching down into a small ball of muscle and anger. His skin seemed to be becoming tougher with each passing moment while his muscles bulged strangely. The fighting monkey straightened out and stretched his strengthened arms. He roared angrily as he watched his foe belligerently; he still wasn’t happy about attacking him yet, he would rather weaken him first.

The little green dragon had no such qualms; he began to run through the water with only the defeat of the opponent on his mind. The sea began to bubble around his front claws as they began to heat up and glow with bright white light. He leapt at Happie, leaving a trail of water droplets hanging in the air as he did, and hit him once with each of his shining claws. The two shallow cuts formed a cross on the Mankey’s forehead, which La Tormenta could still see after retreating to what he thought was a safe distance.

Happie raised his hand to the injury to see what damage had been done; when he saw that he was bleeding, he went berserk. The ball of fury began to scream as loud as he could – his voice carried over the featureless ocean, scaring several fishermen a few miles away. It was also enough to terrify the Axew who had done the damage in the first place; he quaked in his metaphorical boots and began to drop his guard out of sheer panic. However, La Tormenta was soon thinking straight again and knew that he would have to take down his opponent fast if he wanted to win.

La Tormenta wasn’t entirely convinced that he was strong enough to dent his opponent and so set about honing his attack power. A red aura grew around him and he began to do a strange war dance, which consisted of a string of combat positions and martial art moves. As he did this, his muscles became stronger and his claws sharpened. He glared at Happie – he was ready to attack now. Happie, however, was also becoming stronger. A magenta aura, similar to Tormenta’s , enveloped the fighting monkey; he flexed his arms and roared loudly so that the sound carried out over the sea. While the Mankey’s muscles built up, his skin became tougher as well. Because of this, he could take hits better than before so the dragon he was fighting still wasn’t going to get the win too easily.

The small green dragon watched her opponent carefully – he could see shards of ice gathering in the Mankey’s fist – that wasn’t good. Dragons hate ice and La Tormenta was no exception; he needed to protect himself from the attack. He focused hard on the air in front of him until it began to shimmer slightly. Sensing the beginning of his shield, he pressed harder until a glittering wall of blue separated him from Happie – it didn’t come a moment too soon...

While the dragon prepared a shield, the monkey prepared to attack. Ice-cold energy filled his hands as he closed them into fists. The fighting-type gave a blood-curdling screech and charged at La Tormenta, who was still focusing on the air; he leapt into the air to attack the Axew. Unfortunately, he rammed into the shining wall rather than his target; the wall shuddered but was strong enough to take the hit. The Mankey realised that his attack had failed and launched off of the wall, landing on his feet in the water. He was not impressed.

The ball of fury continued to burn and both pokémon remained locked in combat. La Tormenta rammed Happie with his head before swiping him with his sharpened claws while the monkey beat back with his tail and arms. Their cries of rage and pain spread out over the vast ocean, scaring several nearby fishermen, who decided that they’d had enough for one day and set off for home. Both trainers had their hands clamped over their ears; neither wanted to hear their pokémon being ripped to shreds. Flames spiked out randomly from the contorting fire ball, vaporising water on contact. No one could tell who was going to come off better from all this.

Suddenly, some of the fire fell away from the purple orb – one of the battlers couldn’t continue. He hit the water; clouds of steam rose from the point of impact, obscuring who had fallen. Both trainers were staring into the veil avidly – neither wanted it to be their pokémon. The steam cleared away to reveal a small hairy body lying in the water. It was over; Happie had lost.

Axew descended into the water as the flames died away. All his anger had run out and now he was feeling incredibly tired; he wouldn’t have seen the end of the round if his opponent hadn’t gone then. He was lucky in the end.

Mankey didn't have enough Energy to successfully use Outrage, so the move failed and Mankey fainted. You can also see that Axew's Health at the beginning of the round is the same as at the end, meaning that he took no damage.
