So im thinking about this as a new team...

For sure I will have gastrodon, espeon and tyranitar on my team. The other three are up for debate. If ditto is allowed his dream world ability in regular play though. He will for sure be on my team as well.

Snorlax is pretty awful this gen. the support he needs to be a substantial threat and not get raped by the likes of conkledurr, who will often force the tub of lard out with his guts base 140 attack + stab drain punch, then you need to deal with a potentially bulked up conkledurr.....

hmmmm... You could honestly say that about any mon really though... Like latios and latias... If a tyranitar switches in you will most likely have to switch out. Thus giving them either a pursuit/sub/or dragon dance

Ineeed but unlike snorlax, latios/latios sercve a significant function to compinsate for their disadvantagees, latios drills holes through teams and latias supports teams, both of whom have a much better typing and movepoolk than I cannot recover lax.

Lax struggles against the many fighting types this, gen and that lack of slack off, the move that just has snorlaxes name written on it. He cannot rely on rest due to the new sleep mechanics, he lacks decent stab type moves, he is slow and easily worn down through out a match. His curse set is poor at best in thuis new hostuil e enviroment, no reliable recorvery and a metagame where over 20% of mons that can force you out inb a heart beat is not good news.

now lax rests in the middle bowls of uu, where he functions adiquately, useable in ou but not quite the niche filler, alakazam, hitmontop, pory 2, the nido's and azumaril are. More of the arcanine varity.

Main point is there is nothing to distinguish, snorlax from other slow bulky strong pokemon to make up for his short comming unlike latios.

I love this little guy, he is such a geat lil rappid spinner for sunny day teams

Hitmontop@leaftovers

Intimidate
impish
252 hp 252 defense 6hp
rappid spin
foresight
close combat
stone edge

He is rather easy enough to support on a sun team, venasur delivers toxic spike absorbance. ferrothorn is easy to switch into force out and either foresight or spin sr/spikes away, wish support always nice regardless. hitmontop's ability to effectively counter sunshine threats such as tyranitar while intimidate number one hazzard user ferothorn makes him a real team player.

Long a short of it he sratches you back you scratch his, he is easy to fit in on a Sunny day day team as he just naturaly fits in, they need a rappid spiner for their SR weakness and to a less extent spikes and TS, he hates Ts but stample vena covers this, they dislike tyranitar and unlike fellow rappid spinners he can threaten ferrothorn.

Not going to lie, I am infamous for arguing. I also hate snorlax, I am glad he is dead wieght in this gen, but feel bad poor lax very got a move that basically tailor made for him in every way possible - slack off.
