I agree. It was nearly impossible for me to get on the site yesterday and last night.

Re: Forum Lag Issues
Today's been better, but this weekend it was nearly impossible to get onto the forums; don't even dare try to post either.

Re: Forum Lag Issues
Normal in what way?
As in you experience no lag or that it just lags the usual amount before the weekend?

Re: Forum Lag Issues
The forum seems to have been going a little faster lately, hopefully it keeps it up!

Re: Forum Lag Issues
The lag is sort of still going, though it's infrequent. However, the site suddenly likes to give me database errors. :(

Okay, we disabled search.
How is the lag now?

Re: Forum Lag Issues
It's going pretty good right now. But is disabling searches really a good idea? .-.

Ryan's considering replacing it with a Google Search function which should retain the ability to search without creating lag.

We had a search feature? Well I never noticed it before, so I won't miss it. No lag on my end, even with my crappy wifi reception...

Ok, that's cool and all, but the main reason I liked having the search function around was because it provided a "New Posts" function. I don't think I really have to explain the convenience of such a tool. :P

Re: Forum Lag Issues
So the plan is to reactivate search after making a few server changes. We're going to test out if this works or if the lag returns.
Let us know if you notice an increase in lag and to what severity it is. Hopefully though, there won't be a noticeable difference.
