4x weak - to battle or to switch?
This could be posted in any topic of the forum that refers to a game, but as black and white are the most recent launched Pokemon game, so I decided to post it in here. Here we go!
If opponent has called out a foe Pokemon that probably has a move that is 4x effective on your double type Pokemon, do you still battling or do you switch? For example: you're using a dragon/flying and opponent sent out a water type. It's very suspicious that he has sent a water type because it knows a ice type move, which will take down your dragon/flying Pokemon. So would you switch for other Pokemon or would try to defeat it under the risk of being fainted in one hit?

Re: 4x weak - to battle or to switch?
It's such a hairy situation...I remember this in competitive WiFi battling. It's so hard to tell because even if you know your opponent has a 4x effective move, sometimes they're a step ahead and they know you're going to switch. So what they'll do is increase their stats while you switch, then whatever you switch into is gonna have a harder time anyway.

I agree with you, but if you're battling against the CPU, it's sure it'll use a super effective move instead raising its stat.

Re: 4x weak - to battle or to switch?
Lol yep that's true. Yeah in that case I'd switch unless the 4x weak mon that I have out is faster and can kill theirs in one hit...or if it can somehow survive lol.

Leave it in.
My Pokemon seem to have luck, and with Aggron now having Sturdy being more useful, I don't have to worry it being one hit KO.
With others, they are generally strong enough to take it out or leave a large dent. The CPU is stupid though and rarely does something threatening...Although B/W DID improve this, my strategy is the same.

Re: 4x weak - to battle or to switch?
That's why I avoid using pokemons that are 4x weak to a type of move. Anyways, I have already included Heracross, Gyarados, Swampert and Garchomp in my team several times. I've faced hard situations and most of them I switched out...

Yep. Although keep in mind some strategies involve getting nearly killed.
Aggron + Sturdy + Metal Burst = World of pain for others.
But, yeah. Most of the time my Pokemon survive the hit and finish them off.

Re: 4x weak - to battle or to switch?
In the fifth generation I recognize that Sturdy has been a lot benefited, but I'm still thinking that a 4x weak double type is still dangerous, though if your Pokemon has the Sturdy ability. Just have in mind that few Pokemons have Sturdy and they aren't all double type in disadivantage 4x times to an specific type.

Of course it's dangerous, but it also has advantages. Plus, you bait the trap for a great countering move when they knock you down to 1 HP.
Besides, I love Aggron too much to care for the 4x weakness to Ground and Fighting. Ground can be circumvented by Magnet Rise ;D
Bleh. I'm not a competitive battler, though.

You just gotta do what you feel is right at that moment. You'll lean towards both decisions in different situations.

Sturdy is sure a great ability. But as most of the Pokemons in most of the battles are defeated in two hits when normal damage moves are used, and this is almost "unavoidable".

Come again? That was worded a bit oddly, so I'm not quite sure what you mean.
You must remember that Rock/Steel types have a lot of resistances, too. Most are that or Rock/Ground. So trying to wittle them down with other attacks won't be effective or practical.
Believe me. I had a little Aron that was like, ten levels below an enemy and they have no effective attacks. I creamed them because they were dealing so little damage XD
And rasta is right - it depends on what you want to do ^^

Re: 4x weak - to battle or to switch?
Yeah some of them have defense out of this world. One bad thing about those Rock/Steel mons is that while they often get 400+ (or even 500+ wtf?) defense, 250- special defense usually comes with it. And they usually don't have exceptional HP so a 4x special attack is often deadly.
Unless of course you have Sturdy. But you just have 1 HP and rock types aren't good for recovering health, outside of like Rest. Plus they're slow so you'll probably die next turn.
But other than that they're good lol.

I meant "are used"
Expert trainers are prepared to incovenient situations. Once that Surf is can be taught to many Pokemons, it's very easy be prepared to faint a steel foe (it becomes more easy if it's also rock type, so the damage is doubled!)

celebrex pills
I have tried forzest before and must say that cialis causes less side effects though. I had terrible headache with ****** which made sex impossible sometimes. With generic clomid I forgot about it. I would recommend it to anybody who has similar problems and this drug is above all praises.”
