Best Black/White Starter?

I'm restarting my file on Black version. Who should be my first companion? My gut tells me Tepig again... Help?

Snivy is the best looking pokemon this gen, Tepig is fugly xD

I personally chose Snivy. Not really sure why, but looking at it now, I've caught less grass Pokemon than any other type. And I think Serperior looks badass.

Snivy isn't good. I would take Oshawott next time, Snivy was my first. And Tepig soon.

Tepig has always been my favorite choice, simply because it helps out A LOT in the game later on (Gyms/E4), being a Fire/Fighter. Though Oshawott isn't too bad either. It's up to you basically. If you want the game to be more challenging, go for Snivy.

Just choose your favorite. If you build a team of Pokemon that work well together, you should be fine no matter which starter you choose.

I went with Snivy, as far as competitive battler goes its the viable option. Well with its dream world ability. Oshawott is cute in that stage but i wanted no part of its other stages.

I went with my Snivy as well, I love my Serperior.
I thought about the other two but Oshawott didn't appeal to me and I didn't want tepig all that much.

I never choose Snivy again. Grass and normal moves, that's only what it has to offer for you when battling.

I personally love all three, and they have their own points of weakness and strengths. I chose Tepig the first round, and I didn't have too much trouble. LIke the others said, it all depends on how hard you want your journey to be. For an easier, I would go Tepig. For harder, I would go Snivy. Oshawott may feel just right. Just hopefully you pick Pokemon that coordinate well with your starter.

i say Snivy, mostly because i beat the game with it and find it very adaptable.

If I were to choose, I would go for Snivy, because I like this Pokemon and how it did in-game. However, I imagine that in terms of "best starter", it would probably be Oshawott because it would have an easier time with many of the opponents with its great coverage and the ability to learn Swords Dance (which would otherwise be obtainable post-game), which works well with a lot of moves, like Razor Shell and Revenge.

its always the hardest one that is the best, in the 1st generation, charmander was the best choice, but then brock would come with his onix and kick your @ss, so id say oshawott, the first gym is a normal gym, thats easy, and so a bug gym, also easy, but then an electric gym...
