Welcome to the Pe2k Nuzlocke Association, where those of us crazy enough to undertake the Nuzlocke challenge can come together and try to regain our sanity! Share your experiences, console others for their losses, update us on your adventure! If you have a comic, storylocke, tumblr, or blog somewhere in the grand expanses of the interwebz, feel free to share it (I'll be happy to feature it)!


Never tried the Nuzlocke Challenge before? Step this way, ladies and gentlemen! The Nuzlocke Challenge is a brilliant way to add some spice to your Pokemon gaming experience! At its most basic, you only need to follow two rules--1.) catch only the first Pokemon you encounter in a new area, and 2.) fainted Pokemon must be released/boxed and are considered dead. Other rules may be added to make your challenge more interesting, such as using basic Poke Balls only, female Pokemon only, ect.

What modifications are you using to the rules? (Again, I say that Kenny's a brave soul) For my Platinum run, I'm keeping it fairly simple since it's my first time--but I'm doing a Poke Balls only rule ^^

Also, I'm curious about what you mean by Mafia style, Sabi :o

My capture rules were alternated in my HG run:

I may capture one Pokemon on a route, it may be whichever Pokemon. However, you may not buy Pokeballs, only use those that are given. [May only use Goldenrod Lottery 3 times a day] If I fail to capture a specific species, I cannot use that species.

MAFIA STYLE:

• You are given your Pokemon Team. You may not capture Pokemon under normal circumstances.
• You are given Pokemon after you defeat a Gym Leader at level 1 relating to the type specialty of that Gym.
• If the Gym Leader does not give you a Pokemon, you are open to one free capture.
• You must capture the first Pokemon on a route. You can use this capture at any time, but if you forgo one route, you may not come back to that route.
• You may capture Shiny Pokemon if you're lucky enough to find one.

It's basically severely altered capture rules.

It's actually a ROM that you can download online, and the game completely randomized ALL the Pokemon you encounter, including the starters.

So right now, I have a Lvl. 5 Aggron named Altera as a starter :)

Also, I started a Crystal Nuzlocke! So excited!
