Well im going to be leaving soon. You can plan for it to be ten day thing. Before I go, Id like to address some of this before I do.


For the time being Red and Blue will be paused. Gold and Silver will keep going. Please while Im gone look for EMoon and Cm to run the stories. Please show them the same respect you show me when posting. During this time you will be battling Falkner and heading to the ruins.


As far as Latios post, I will be working a better system to deal with legendary pokemon. Maybe the best way to do it, is let people go after all the legendary pokemon. If someone is willing to stick it out through the sidequest they deserve it. That being said legendary pokemon will not be usable, but could server as a way to save the team in a bad situation.

I swear I recall a previous PM conversation where we decided the Legends WERE usable...Or at least the minor ones. However, I'm down with whatever you've got. Considering that huge point totals are involved in capturing the Legend I'd make sure that there is SOME bonus for owning the Legend.

I very much agree, thats why im thinking that Jynx...Electabuzz...Magmar will all be available for sure. Electabuzz will be running around in Zapdos mission, Magmar in Moltress's and Finally Jynx in Articunos. Other wise those pokemon might only appear once in the normal story mode and they would go fast.

Also the legends should mean something, maybe for each you catch we can give you a pokemon to transfer over to gold and silver.

OK, I can justify, for the most part, Legends being unusable. Being Stolen by Rockets is one thing, they're probably illegal in leauge battles (in most cases, anyways), and it's just a waste to use them on regular trainers and wild Pokemon. I am kind of annoyed by the Red/Blue Legends, at minimum, being unusable. However, I wouldn't go over the whole quest for a transfer of one Pokemon and several opportunities to capture an Electabuzz. Really. That's honestly underwhealming, considering several Red/Blue Pokemon are also in Gold/Silver, and I could live without it either way. I'd rethink that and make a more practical reward. When I say practical, I was thinking points, and a lot of them. They're almost the only thing one needs MORE than Pokemon, and I honestly prefer getting point rewards to almost anything else, considering how you consistently find ways to starve me of Points I need to claim rewards.

Please just tell me if ALL Legends will be like that, just because I'd rather know now than be dissapointed later.

Also, is the whole 'Legends do not count for the Pokedex no matter what' thing good?

On another note, when Trading Pokemon with NPCs (Like the Weepinbel for Onix trade), do we have to spend points or no?

Alright! Just an update on the situation.

Gold and Silver will resume normally tomorrow (or later today depending on your timezone). I apologize for not getting it running earlier.

Secondly, because of certain circumstances (I will not go into detail about this), CM will no longer be co-hosting Gold. However, I have asked Typhlosion Explosion to help out and he's agreed.

Trading will cost points, but just the cost of the pokemon.

Legends will count as part of the Pokedex. Honestly you bring up some good points. The side quests missions are meant to help you fill your pokedex. There will be other pokemon on those mission though, the rare ones that only show up once in the gcea red and blue.
If lengeds were usable it would get a little out of hand. To some capacity Legends could be used like a get out jail free card. Maybe that should be the reward for going for them, having the legend on your team for one battle or mission.
