First shiny?

What was the first shiny you ever encountered and/or received in a trade? If you don't have one, what Pokemon would you like to be your first shiny?

My first legit shiny was a Tentacool that randomly encountered off Route 219 in Pearl Version.

It was a Shiny Zubat in Emerald. Mount Moon was where I caught it, I think.

My first Shiny was a Rhyhorn at Pokemon Safari in Fire Red.

Shiny Poliwhirl in Red. Didn't find out it was shiny until I traded it to Gold!

I caught a shiny Tauros in Red but didnt see it until gold...at which point i thought it was a bad file, i think i got rid of it. lol

My first shiny was a Gallade I got via trade, but that didn't feel as good as my first shiny I ecountered. It was a Litwick that i found on my first run through the Celestial Tower. Felt good.

Shiny Gyarados in Silver, haha. If that doesn't count, my first encountered yet unsuccessfully captured shiny was Exeggute in Safari Zone on FireRed.

Since i have not played since gen 1, and then a short time with diamond before it was stolen. I'm new to these "Shiny" pokemon. Pretty sure i have not seen one, but i have no idea what they are or what is special about them.

Shiny Pokemon are rare colorations of Pokemon!



Some are distinct, while some aren't so easy to tell.



Shiny Pokemon will have a little red star () in their summary photo.

Shiny Pokemon in the wild will have a different appearance animation in battle.



It's usually easy to tell if your Pokemon is shiny or not. :)

A shiny Marill, found inbetween Fortree city and Lilycove city, just before you see the first kecleon. Second was A shiny Numel on the fiery path. both were in ruby

T'was a zubat in Crystal. I am still not sure what was special about it, but it had the Shiny animation, so i have to asume it was. That isn't counting the red gyrados because it is always there during the storyline.
