Contest suggestion for pe2k

I think a contest with prizes would drive people to pe2k... it really helps alongside the games, its one of the things people will think on and say "hmm this really has my attention, maybe I can join and play in the contest..."

also if you throw a prize or too out (example of a prize could be... Pokemon black or white 2 will be given to winners)

I just figured this might help the forum... so I posted it.

Well, that's why we have invasions, to attract more peoplez. So...yeah, I guess your question was answered like "SNAP!" But, we couldn't offer anything like a copy of B2/W2 because I bet you that no one here wants to go through the money to buy a game and give it away instead of either playing it themselves or using it on something else. It's about $35 US and I really wouldn't do that. Plushies, on the other hand, are around $3 US and that person could just buy another one for themselves if they wanted.

xD That's not true. On eBay, if you know where to look, they can easily be three dollars. Trust me. I know.

And yeah, haha, well games here are between $50 and $70 (well, $100 if you're looking at X-box/PS3/Wii) because of our dodgy electronic prices so yep...plushies are a much better alternative. And Brandon, sometimes spending money on strangers is not as easy as it seems.

But yes, I had the idea of giving plushies away as prizes and that's what we've started doing since the keldeo invasion.

I think we can continue to have the giveaways for our special event. Im thinking if plushies become hard to come by we can switch to figures or even cards depending on the contest.

Yeah, that's a good idea! It really depends on the pokemon, I guess, considering obviously some plushies are easier to get than others. But yes, I would think that cards are a good idea. Figurines tend to be expensive.

Ha ha, I was talking about the ones bigger than 3" XD. Like around 7" or 8".

Plushies it is... I was just throwing examples out... I have no say but it may be a good idea to offer some premium member status or something to people who donate all games, cards, plushies, and other prizes to the site for contests and such.

Just throwing some ideas i've seen work on other sites and forums.

its a great idea, it really depends on our expenses at the time. Now you could suggest some contests or things that would go along with these giveaways that would help us out.

Well, since the main legendaries of B2 and W2 are forms of Kyurem, we could have a like...Kyurem Blast contest or something and you could give away a plush, or maybe a Kyurem box, or just a Kyurem Collectors Tin.

We could maybe also hold a contest on Thundorus, Landorus, and Tornadus' new forms.

Just a thought.

This is kinda what I was looking for to. A little bit more to go off. I mean we can think of ideas but outside would really help us out.

Well, as Grassy said raffles are good, but we've done a lot of them. Hmm...OH! We could do a site-wide Scavenger Hunt and people could PM their completed clues and list to Mods and Site Staff!

And we could do some sort of find-it game where you collage a bunch of pics and have people find the right ones. They could circle them in paint and use Tinypic or something to upload it and PM the link to it to Mods, etc. !

I think both of those would be absolutely awesome contests. ^^
